Svea - 03/09/2022

Svea ate whole wheat toast and a large serving of strawberries for breakfast. For lunch she ate bites of Whole 30 Chili with meat, peppers, sweet potatoes, tomatoes, tomato sauce, and spices. She ate whole wheat dinner roll, and ate a large serving of mangoes. 

First picture: Shortly after Svea arrived she took Cal into the Preschool Room, over by the door, and slowly opened her bag for him to get a peek of whatever goodies she brought from home. She cracks me up. She makes quite a production out of many things and I love it. Cal seems to be ok with it too! Haha. He never complains, but patiently waits for her to lay out the goods. :)

Next picture: "Do Play Dough! Do Play Dough!" Those were Miles' first words coming through the door this morning. I told him we'd wait until after breakfast so Svea could join us too. And sure enough as soon as breakfast was over he was ready for Play Dough. Svea and Cal were enjoying the Play Dough as well. Svea was rolling her's into long "snakes" and then cutting into pieces with Play Dough scissors. 

Last picture: Svea was watching herself in the mirror and saying, "I'm the Queen." No one responded. So she said it again, "I am the Queen!!" Haha. Meanwhile the Queen's attendant has his own things to deal with; namely picking his nose. Haha. (He picks his nose about as often as Svea looks at herself in one of my mirrors!! Haha.)

Svea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and three servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of her ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas, and ate bites of applesauce. First picture: Svea is just getting started on coloring this picture, but she was actually too busy watching Nora color and studying Nora's picture. Then, just as I was taking the picture, Svea's marker rolled off the table and Svea managed to catch it before it hit the floor. She's explaining to Nora how such an amazing feat is even possible!! Haha! Nice catch Svea. Next picture: The girls are watching a "Chicken Dance" video and dancing/singing along with it. The boys, meanwhile, are marching to their own drum and Miles is chanting, "I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew!!" Svea - 5/18/2020

Svea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomato, avocado, and three or four cherries.  At breakfast Svea started saying, "My turn to talk. My turn to talk."  Which is what the big girls say at the table; all talking and saying it at the same time. Ha.  At lunch I put mustard on my ground turkey and I told Avi you can't be a wuss and eat mustard.  Svea said, "That's right Gary."  Haha. Here's what Svea frequently says to Lauralea: "Can you swing me Lauralea?!?"  Or, "Swing me Lauralea, swing me!?!"  And here's what she's asking: Swing me back and forth and throw me on the mattress.  :) Today was toy exchange Monday and Svea was very busy all morning.  I think these pictures kind of capture some of her morning and her busyness.  Playing with the jingle bells, food toys, and in the third picture she's trying to put the cab of the legos truck on ...

Svea - 5/19/2020

Svea ate just a couple bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, two servings of corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I took this picture because I like to catch Svea actually putting the puzzles together.  Good work Svea.  Second picture: More of the same this morning; playing with her babies. Next picture: Nora spends LOTS of time everyday dancing in front of the mirror.  During the time she went to her Preschool I never saw anyone continue this activity.  Well now she's back and here she is again.  Haha.  (Nora Boyle was the last one I remember doing this too!!  It's a "Nora thing.") Today Svea joined them as well.  So cute.
