Svea - 03/15/2022

Svea chose not to eat breakfast here: blueberry bagel and grapes. For lunch she ate bites of shrimp, ate a large serving of brown rice covered with berry juice, no green beans, and no mixed berries.

First picture: Miles was sitting here doing puzzles and not pestering anyone!! Ha. So I guess maybe Svea thought she'd better pester him first. She started making silly faces at him and Miles was all over that! He stood up and did his best silly face right back at her. Second picture: I'm not sure what precipitated this 'silent treatment' from Svea, but most likely Cal was not following her lead appropriately in the make-believe game she'd created. Haha. Third picture: Cal and Svea in the Preschool Room constructing things with the legos. 

Next picture: This was pretty entertaining to watch. First they asked me to move the mattress away from the wall so they could run around and around and around the mattress. Then they all started claiming to be the "Ginger Bread Man" and "You can't catch Me!" Eventually (like you see in the picture) Svea took a short break on the sidelines and started cheering. She was yelling, "Go Cal!!" "You got this!!" Then when it got a bit congested like you see in the picture Svea was yelling, "If somebody's in your way that means traffic!!" Last Picture: At this point Cal isn't terribly interested in this "Matching Game," but Svea wasn't strictly following any "rules" which seemed to make it more interesting for him!! Haha.

Svea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and three servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of her ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas, and ate bites of applesauce. First picture: Svea is just getting started on coloring this picture, but she was actually too busy watching Nora color and studying Nora's picture. Then, just as I was taking the picture, Svea's marker rolled off the table and Svea managed to catch it before it hit the floor. She's explaining to Nora how such an amazing feat is even possible!! Haha! Nice catch Svea. Next picture: The girls are watching a "Chicken Dance" video and dancing/singing along with it. The boys, meanwhile, are marching to their own drum and Miles is chanting, "I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew!!" Svea - 5/18/2020

Svea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomato, avocado, and three or four cherries.  At breakfast Svea started saying, "My turn to talk. My turn to talk."  Which is what the big girls say at the table; all talking and saying it at the same time. Ha.  At lunch I put mustard on my ground turkey and I told Avi you can't be a wuss and eat mustard.  Svea said, "That's right Gary."  Haha. Here's what Svea frequently says to Lauralea: "Can you swing me Lauralea?!?"  Or, "Swing me Lauralea, swing me!?!"  And here's what she's asking: Swing me back and forth and throw me on the mattress.  :) Today was toy exchange Monday and Svea was very busy all morning.  I think these pictures kind of capture some of her morning and her busyness.  Playing with the jingle bells, food toys, and in the third picture she's trying to put the cab of the legos truck on ...

Svea - 5/19/2020

Svea ate just a couple bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, two servings of corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I took this picture because I like to catch Svea actually putting the puzzles together.  Good work Svea.  Second picture: More of the same this morning; playing with her babies. Next picture: Nora spends LOTS of time everyday dancing in front of the mirror.  During the time she went to her Preschool I never saw anyone continue this activity.  Well now she's back and here she is again.  Haha.  (Nora Boyle was the last one I remember doing this too!!  It's a "Nora thing.") Today Svea joined them as well.  So cute. Next picture: Svea was at the gate yelling to Avi and Atley (who were in the Preschool Room) and she was saying, "Look at me guys, look at me guys."  Then she started walking across the room...
