Svea - 03/24/2022

Svea ate her whole wheat English muffin serving and two servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas, and ate her applesauce. 

This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon and it was cute how Cal and Svea were on their tummies on the swings. They'd run real hard and coast backwards over and over. They also played on this one set of equipment the most and Svea did (and said) everything she possibly could to get Cal to go down the steep slide. Then she resorted to threats:
"If you want me to play with you go down the slide."
"If you want me to be your friend go down the slide."
"If you want all my money Cal, go down the slide."
She was certainly persistent, but his resistance matched her persistence stride for stride. (Personally, I'd have taken the money Cal! Haha.)

Next picture: Everyone was rowdy and having a great time. The "big" kids sure like to be matched up against the "little" kids. Haha. Here Hudson is mulling Svea. Hudson is very gentle with the little ones and it's fun to watch. Atley and Cal were having a battle using just their heads; pushing and pushing. Silly kids.

Three pictures: We worked on a Project that Hudson brought for us and we learned about light refraction. The first activity was a "glowing firefly." Hudson initially made a "unicorn firefly" and it looked very cute, but then he added a 2nd antenna. Last two pictures: Then we took off the firefly and added colors and made a "fireworks display." We went in the little room and made it totally dark in there for better effects.

Svea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and three servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of her ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas, and ate bites of applesauce. First picture: Svea is just getting started on coloring this picture, but she was actually too busy watching Nora color and studying Nora's picture. Then, just as I was taking the picture, Svea's marker rolled off the table and Svea managed to catch it before it hit the floor. She's explaining to Nora how such an amazing feat is even possible!! Haha! Nice catch Svea. Next picture: The girls are watching a "Chicken Dance" video and dancing/singing along with it. The boys, meanwhile, are marching to their own drum and Miles is chanting, "I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew!!" Svea - 5/18/2020

Svea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomato, avocado, and three or four cherries.  At breakfast Svea started saying, "My turn to talk. My turn to talk."  Which is what the big girls say at the table; all talking and saying it at the same time. Ha.  At lunch I put mustard on my ground turkey and I told Avi you can't be a wuss and eat mustard.  Svea said, "That's right Gary."  Haha. Here's what Svea frequently says to Lauralea: "Can you swing me Lauralea?!?"  Or, "Swing me Lauralea, swing me!?!"  And here's what she's asking: Swing me back and forth and throw me on the mattress.  :) Today was toy exchange Monday and Svea was very busy all morning.  I think these pictures kind of capture some of her morning and her busyness.  Playing with the jingle bells, food toys, and in the third picture she's trying to put the cab of the legos truck on ...

Svea - 5/19/2020

Svea ate just a couple bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, two servings of corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I took this picture because I like to catch Svea actually putting the puzzles together.  Good work Svea.  Second picture: More of the same this morning; playing with her babies. Next picture: Nora spends LOTS of time everyday dancing in front of the mirror.  During the time she went to her Preschool I never saw anyone continue this activity.  Well now she's back and here she is again.  Haha.  (Nora Boyle was the last one I remember doing this too!!  It's a "Nora thing.") Today Svea joined them as well.  So cute.
