Svea - 04/08/2022

Svea ate oatmeal and two dried cranberries for breakfast. For lunch she ate bites of Hamburger & Sausage Pizza with meat, olives, pineapple, peppers, and tomato sauce. She ate none of her whole wheat pizza crust (we serve on the side) and no pineapple on the side either.
At the Lunch table Svea said, "Gary, how do you get out of the room?"
What room?
She said, "I'm talking about riddles." 
Ok, but I need more information.
"Well you just crawl out." Long Pause. "No, not just crawl out. You dig a hole in your room and you slide downstairs!" LOL

This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon at Cold Springs School playground. The kids had a great time there and they were all still talking about it this morning. As the weather warms up we may go over there occasionally in the mornings and then spend some time there this summer too. Svea and Nora played together all the time we were there. Nora wasn't interested at all in joining any of the more challenging things Avilene was attempting to do!! These are the small slides, but Nora and Svea went down the bigger steeper slides as well. They were having fun "racing" to the bottom.

Next picture: Cal and Svea put on the "Grizzly Suits." (Their words.) They kept saying, "We are the Grizzly Team." "The Grizzly team is winning!" What was Miles' part in this activity? He was assigned to start the game by pushing a button. Ha. Svea said, "Wait two minutes. I'm not quite ready." (She apparently had more food prep to do.) Last picture: This was like the "post-game picnic." :)

Svea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and three servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of her ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas, and ate bites of applesauce. First picture: Svea is just getting started on coloring this picture, but she was actually too busy watching Nora color and studying Nora's picture. Then, just as I was taking the picture, Svea's marker rolled off the table and Svea managed to catch it before it hit the floor. She's explaining to Nora how such an amazing feat is even possible!! Haha! Nice catch Svea. Next picture: The girls are watching a "Chicken Dance" video and dancing/singing along with it. The boys, meanwhile, are marching to their own drum and Miles is chanting, "I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew!!" Svea - 5/18/2020

Svea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomato, avocado, and three or four cherries.  At breakfast Svea started saying, "My turn to talk. My turn to talk."  Which is what the big girls say at the table; all talking and saying it at the same time. Ha.  At lunch I put mustard on my ground turkey and I told Avi you can't be a wuss and eat mustard.  Svea said, "That's right Gary."  Haha. Here's what Svea frequently says to Lauralea: "Can you swing me Lauralea?!?"  Or, "Swing me Lauralea, swing me!?!"  And here's what she's asking: Swing me back and forth and throw me on the mattress.  :) Today was toy exchange Monday and Svea was very busy all morning.  I think these pictures kind of capture some of her morning and her busyness.  Playing with the jingle bells, food toys, and in the third picture she's trying to put the cab of the legos truck on ...

Svea - 5/19/2020

Svea ate just a couple bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, two servings of corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I took this picture because I like to catch Svea actually putting the puzzles together.  Good work Svea.  Second picture: More of the same this morning; playing with her babies. Next picture: Nora spends LOTS of time everyday dancing in front of the mirror.  During the time she went to her Preschool I never saw anyone continue this activity.  Well now she's back and here she is again.  Haha.  (Nora Boyle was the last one I remember doing this too!!  It's a "Nora thing.") Today Svea joined them as well.  So cute.
