Svea - 04/19/2022

Svea chose not to eat breakfast: blueberry bagel and grapes. For lunch she ate no shrimp, she ate a large serving of brown rice covered with mixed berry juice, bites of broccoli, and no mixed berries. 

Lunch conversation: Svea said to me; "We're pretending this is our airplane and this is the dining room and that is the play room." Ok. She continued; "We're going to California. There are lots of toys and slides." She thought about that and then asked me; "Is California real!!" I couldn't completely lie so I said, "Well sort of real." Haha. (amusing myself) So then I asked; "Cal, have you ever been to Montana?" He said, "No." Me: "Svea, have you ever been to Montana?" Svea; "No." Cal: "Miles, have you ever been to Montana?" Miles; "Yes." Cal; "Did you love it?" Miles; "Yes." :)
More Lunch conversation: Cal asked Svea, "Can you tell me about when you and Avi were babies?" 
Svea said, "No." But then she proceeded to make up some pretty elaborate stories about them as babies!!
Then Cal said, "Hey Gary, how many inches am I?" 
Svea immediately answered his question; "You are 5." And he was satisfied with that answer. As I listened to them they were interchanging Age and Inches. :)

Next picture: Playing the Ladybug Game with Svea. This helps them identify their numbers and Svea is starting SO she was playing for BOTH of them. (Turning the cards over and counting off the spaces the card showed.) Cal was content to watch and he said, "I hope we win!!" LOL!! Geez that made me laugh!! Last picture: Look at Svea's tough girl posture. Ha. She said, "We're pretending like we are bad cowboys! Because we are dressing up like bad cowboys!!" What about the bare-footed cowboy?!? Is he a bad dude too? :)

Svea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and three servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of her ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas, and ate bites of applesauce. First picture: Svea is just getting started on coloring this picture, but she was actually too busy watching Nora color and studying Nora's picture. Then, just as I was taking the picture, Svea's marker rolled off the table and Svea managed to catch it before it hit the floor. She's explaining to Nora how such an amazing feat is even possible!! Haha! Nice catch Svea. Next picture: The girls are watching a "Chicken Dance" video and dancing/singing along with it. The boys, meanwhile, are marching to their own drum and Miles is chanting, "I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew!!" Svea - 5/18/2020

Svea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomato, avocado, and three or four cherries.  At breakfast Svea started saying, "My turn to talk. My turn to talk."  Which is what the big girls say at the table; all talking and saying it at the same time. Ha.  At lunch I put mustard on my ground turkey and I told Avi you can't be a wuss and eat mustard.  Svea said, "That's right Gary."  Haha. Here's what Svea frequently says to Lauralea: "Can you swing me Lauralea?!?"  Or, "Swing me Lauralea, swing me!?!"  And here's what she's asking: Swing me back and forth and throw me on the mattress.  :) Today was toy exchange Monday and Svea was very busy all morning.  I think these pictures kind of capture some of her morning and her busyness.  Playing with the jingle bells, food toys, and in the third picture she's trying to put the cab of the legos truck on ...

Svea - 5/19/2020

Svea ate just a couple bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, two servings of corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I took this picture because I like to catch Svea actually putting the puzzles together.  Good work Svea.  Second picture: More of the same this morning; playing with her babies. Next picture: Nora spends LOTS of time everyday dancing in front of the mirror.  During the time she went to her Preschool I never saw anyone continue this activity.  Well now she's back and here she is again.  Haha.  (Nora Boyle was the last one I remember doing this too!!  It's a "Nora thing.") Today Svea joined them as well.  So cute.
