Svea - 04/26/2022

Svea ate most of her waffle and ate grapes for breakfast. For lunch she ate most of her chicken, some whole wheat tortilla, most of her corn, and no apples slices.

This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon. Svea worked at putting these Star Pieces together while the boys were sleeping. I'm impressed with how well she keeps herself busy during the alone time and how well she self-entertains. I'm available and sitting nearby doing the Blogs and she'll occasionally come and ask me questions. However, the majority of the time she gets very involved into whatever interests her at that moment. In the picture below, Cal had just awoke from his nap and Svea immediately started describing her Stars to him. He's not awake enough yet for this Svea. Haha.

Next picture: Svea brought Goldfish again for the kid's morning snack. They all love the Goldfish and she mostly does a very good job of sharing. (Once in a while I have to intervene.) One day Svea brought "Pirate Booty," but it was not nearly as popular as the Goldfish. Following picture: They were asking to do some Play-dough and the kids had fun with it for a long time. 

Last picture: I've been working hard with Svea getting her to "Use Your Words" when you're angry instead of immediately screaming, hitting, and throwing things. Prior to this picture she'd set up an elaborate airplane ride for her and Cal. The Problem: Cal wasn't interested in the airplane at that moment and she became furious and slinging stuff around. Oops. So she was playing the Lady Bug game to take some deep breaths and calm down before we could talk about things.

Svea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and three servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of her ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas, and ate bites of applesauce. First picture: Svea is just getting started on coloring this picture, but she was actually too busy watching Nora color and studying Nora's picture. Then, just as I was taking the picture, Svea's marker rolled off the table and Svea managed to catch it before it hit the floor. She's explaining to Nora how such an amazing feat is even possible!! Haha! Nice catch Svea. Next picture: The girls are watching a "Chicken Dance" video and dancing/singing along with it. The boys, meanwhile, are marching to their own drum and Miles is chanting, "I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew!!" Svea - 5/18/2020

Svea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomato, avocado, and three or four cherries.  At breakfast Svea started saying, "My turn to talk. My turn to talk."  Which is what the big girls say at the table; all talking and saying it at the same time. Ha.  At lunch I put mustard on my ground turkey and I told Avi you can't be a wuss and eat mustard.  Svea said, "That's right Gary."  Haha. Here's what Svea frequently says to Lauralea: "Can you swing me Lauralea?!?"  Or, "Swing me Lauralea, swing me!?!"  And here's what she's asking: Swing me back and forth and throw me on the mattress.  :) Today was toy exchange Monday and Svea was very busy all morning.  I think these pictures kind of capture some of her morning and her busyness.  Playing with the jingle bells, food toys, and in the third picture she's trying to put the cab of the legos truck on ...

Svea - 5/19/2020

Svea ate just a couple bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, two servings of corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I took this picture because I like to catch Svea actually putting the puzzles together.  Good work Svea.  Second picture: More of the same this morning; playing with her babies. Next picture: Nora spends LOTS of time everyday dancing in front of the mirror.  During the time she went to her Preschool I never saw anyone continue this activity.  Well now she's back and here she is again.  Haha.  (Nora Boyle was the last one I remember doing this too!!  It's a "Nora thing.") Today Svea joined them as well.  So cute.
