Svea - 05/06/2022

Svea ate some oatmeal and several dried cranberries for breakfast. For lunch she ate bites of tilapia, bites of whole wheat elbow noodles, no green beans, and ate her applesauce.

Svea Quotes: "My Grandma lives all the way on the other side of the world." Oh really? Grandma Mary? "Yes. But we don't have to fly a plane; we can actually just drive there." LOL!! So I'm guessing someone told her Grandma's on a trip on the other side of the world. :)
We were reading during Story Time. There was a picture with several birds. My Question: "What kind of birds are these?" Svea had a great answer and I decided it was half-flamingo and half-penguin. "Fla-meen-guin." Correct answer was "Flamingos."

First picture; "Hey Gary! Miles and me want some alone time reading this book!!" Ha. So cute. However, it's frequently a pain in the rear when someone gets excluded!! This time it was Cal. Have I ever mentioned we primarily work on Social Skills around here!! :) Second picture; Some times it's fun to put Mr Potato Head accessories on self instead of the toy. :)

Next picture: Svea revealing what she brought from home. She was teasing a bit too much, but eventually disclosed the contents!! This last picture made me laugh. Svea kept calling it her "lemonade" and said "Grandma showed me how to make lemonade." So if you look close you'll see an egg (sunny side up) on the bottom, strawberries, and bacon. Hey some people say bacon goes with anything!! The boys thought it was delicious.

Svea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and three servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of her ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas, and ate bites of applesauce. First picture: Svea is just getting started on coloring this picture, but she was actually too busy watching Nora color and studying Nora's picture. Then, just as I was taking the picture, Svea's marker rolled off the table and Svea managed to catch it before it hit the floor. She's explaining to Nora how such an amazing feat is even possible!! Haha! Nice catch Svea. Next picture: The girls are watching a "Chicken Dance" video and dancing/singing along with it. The boys, meanwhile, are marching to their own drum and Miles is chanting, "I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew!!" Svea - 5/18/2020

Svea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomato, avocado, and three or four cherries.  At breakfast Svea started saying, "My turn to talk. My turn to talk."  Which is what the big girls say at the table; all talking and saying it at the same time. Ha.  At lunch I put mustard on my ground turkey and I told Avi you can't be a wuss and eat mustard.  Svea said, "That's right Gary."  Haha. Here's what Svea frequently says to Lauralea: "Can you swing me Lauralea?!?"  Or, "Swing me Lauralea, swing me!?!"  And here's what she's asking: Swing me back and forth and throw me on the mattress.  :) Today was toy exchange Monday and Svea was very busy all morning.  I think these pictures kind of capture some of her morning and her busyness.  Playing with the jingle bells, food toys, and in the third picture she's trying to put the cab of the legos truck on ...

Svea - 5/19/2020

Svea ate just a couple bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, two servings of corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I took this picture because I like to catch Svea actually putting the puzzles together.  Good work Svea.  Second picture: More of the same this morning; playing with her babies. Next picture: Nora spends LOTS of time everyday dancing in front of the mirror.  During the time she went to her Preschool I never saw anyone continue this activity.  Well now she's back and here she is again.  Haha.  (Nora Boyle was the last one I remember doing this too!!  It's a "Nora thing.") Today Svea joined them as well.  So cute.
