Svea - 05/19/2022

Svea ate French toast and strawberries for breakfast. She said, "This French toast is so good." It's a "French toast casserole" we've been doing. For lunch she ate pulled pork, ate whole wheat toast, peas, and no dried plums.

Svea was telling Cal the difference between the words "But" and "Butt." She said, "Cal, but is a word, but not this." As she was pointing to her butt. The visual was perfect for making the distinction! Well done Svea. 

This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon when Nora was here. Svea and Nora had SO much fun together. Meanwhile much to Cal and Miles' delight Avilene was wrestling with them on the mattress. Ha. Avi would check on Svea and Nora, look at what they were doing, and leave. :)

Next pictured: Svea hard at work on one of the art projects she brought from home. Following picture: Svea was happy to see the Crystals reflecting on the wall again. She said, "Gary!! The Crystals are back!! The Crystals are back!!"

Last picture: So we did a "Lock Down Drill" this morning and the kids were thrilled!! Ha. I pushed the alarm button a few times and it's been awhile since we've done the drill. They acted like they'd won the lottery. ha. They were SO excited to go downstairs. They toys in that room are for very young kids, but we weren't there long enough for anyone to get bored! Svea said, "Can we do another drill soon!?!"

Svea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and three servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of her ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas, and ate bites of applesauce. First picture: Svea is just getting started on coloring this picture, but she was actually too busy watching Nora color and studying Nora's picture. Then, just as I was taking the picture, Svea's marker rolled off the table and Svea managed to catch it before it hit the floor. She's explaining to Nora how such an amazing feat is even possible!! Haha! Nice catch Svea. Next picture: The girls are watching a "Chicken Dance" video and dancing/singing along with it. The boys, meanwhile, are marching to their own drum and Miles is chanting, "I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew!!" Svea - 5/18/2020

Svea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomato, avocado, and three or four cherries.  At breakfast Svea started saying, "My turn to talk. My turn to talk."  Which is what the big girls say at the table; all talking and saying it at the same time. Ha.  At lunch I put mustard on my ground turkey and I told Avi you can't be a wuss and eat mustard.  Svea said, "That's right Gary."  Haha. Here's what Svea frequently says to Lauralea: "Can you swing me Lauralea?!?"  Or, "Swing me Lauralea, swing me!?!"  And here's what she's asking: Swing me back and forth and throw me on the mattress.  :) Today was toy exchange Monday and Svea was very busy all morning.  I think these pictures kind of capture some of her morning and her busyness.  Playing with the jingle bells, food toys, and in the third picture she's trying to put the cab of the legos truck on ...

Svea - 5/19/2020

Svea ate just a couple bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, two servings of corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I took this picture because I like to catch Svea actually putting the puzzles together.  Good work Svea.  Second picture: More of the same this morning; playing with her babies. Next picture: Nora spends LOTS of time everyday dancing in front of the mirror.  During the time she went to her Preschool I never saw anyone continue this activity.  Well now she's back and here she is again.  Haha.  (Nora Boyle was the last one I remember doing this too!!  It's a "Nora thing.") Today Svea joined them as well.  So cute.
