Svea ate half of her blueberry bagel and half of her peaches for breakfast. For lunch she ate ground beef topped with avocado, ate two servings of buttered whole wheat pita bread, ate olives, and two servings of strawberries. Cal was providing the Lunch table entertainment: "I broke my arm and now it's all wobbly!" As he was flopping his arm around. :)
First picture; Svea was doing this matching game/activity in the Preschool room and the boys joined her. One card has the instructions written on it. Cal looked at the instructions, but decided he couldn't read it. What should he do? Find someone that CAN read!! So Cal hands them to Miles and says, "Hey Miles, read these instructions." LOL.
Next picture: Svea has her "bug box" and they're looking for bugs. Second picture: We're taking a walk to the irrigation/water ditch to look for more bugs. (You can see the "bug box" Svea is holding.) They wanted to hold hands, but Miles was holding Cal's left hand with his left hand. Not working, but he didn't want to let it go either! :) Third picture: They got the hand holding thing figured out by themselves. :)
Next picture: They spotted a "water skipper" and Svea asked, "Can I catch it?" Well you can try, but without a net I doubt it will happen. They're pretty quick. Last picture: I spotted a couple of ducks in the grass on the opposite side of the ditch. There was a Drake and a Hen so probably a nest close by because they weren't about to leave! You can see the male in the shadow if you look close right below Cal's left leg (in the picture above) and you can see the white ring around the duck's neck. I think it's a Mallard.
