Svea - 06/20/2022

Svea ate kix cereal and a few bites of fruit cocktail for breakfast. For lunch she ate Ground Turkey topped with avocado, toasted whole wheat sandwich thin, ate tomatoes, and ate three large servings of cherries.

Just an FYI, Nora and Miles are with Grandparents all week.
First picture is from breakfast. Every time we have kix cereal Svea makes a "flower" with them in her spoon. Later she told me she could see a "horse with a rider" in the bowl of kix. Sure enough, I could see it too! :) Moments later she saw "people singing." Sorry, I don't see that one!! Haha.

We did a toy, book, and puzzle exchange this weekend. Svea and Cal were playing with the Doctor toys and right before I took this picture Dr Nelson had informed her patient that the "shot might hurt." And Cal was fleeing the scene! Haha.

Next picture: Heading to the irrigation ditch to see if we can spot some water skippers. Right before I took this picture Cal said, "Gary can we stop going on SO many walks!!" LOL!! Following picture; we found this little abandoned bee's nest laying by the sidewalk after the weekend storms. If you zoom in on it you can see Svea decorated it with a few small flowers. I asked Cal, "What do you think of Svea's nest now?" Cal said, "Yuck." Haha. What a goof. He makes me laugh!

Last picture: We made it to the culvert and eventually Svea put the nest in the water to watch it go through the culvert too. A few minutes later she spotted some small bugs and sure enough there were a new hatch of baby water skippers. At least 50 of them. That was very cool.

Svea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and three servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of her ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas, and ate bites of applesauce. First picture: Svea is just getting started on coloring this picture, but she was actually too busy watching Nora color and studying Nora's picture. Then, just as I was taking the picture, Svea's marker rolled off the table and Svea managed to catch it before it hit the floor. She's explaining to Nora how such an amazing feat is even possible!! Haha! Nice catch Svea. Next picture: The girls are watching a "Chicken Dance" video and dancing/singing along with it. The boys, meanwhile, are marching to their own drum and Miles is chanting, "I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew!!" Svea - 5/18/2020

Svea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomato, avocado, and three or four cherries.  At breakfast Svea started saying, "My turn to talk. My turn to talk."  Which is what the big girls say at the table; all talking and saying it at the same time. Ha.  At lunch I put mustard on my ground turkey and I told Avi you can't be a wuss and eat mustard.  Svea said, "That's right Gary."  Haha. Here's what Svea frequently says to Lauralea: "Can you swing me Lauralea?!?"  Or, "Swing me Lauralea, swing me!?!"  And here's what she's asking: Swing me back and forth and throw me on the mattress.  :) Today was toy exchange Monday and Svea was very busy all morning.  I think these pictures kind of capture some of her morning and her busyness.  Playing with the jingle bells, food toys, and in the third picture she's trying to put the cab of the legos truck on ...

Svea - 5/19/2020

Svea ate just a couple bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, two servings of corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I took this picture because I like to catch Svea actually putting the puzzles together.  Good work Svea.  Second picture: More of the same this morning; playing with her babies. Next picture: Nora spends LOTS of time everyday dancing in front of the mirror.  During the time she went to her Preschool I never saw anyone continue this activity.  Well now she's back and here she is again.  Haha.  (Nora Boyle was the last one I remember doing this too!!  It's a "Nora thing.") Today Svea joined them as well.  So cute.
