Svea - 06/23/2022

Svea ate whole wheat English muffin and three servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. She did not eat any Lunch: ground beef, whole wheat elbow noodles, peas, and applesauce. And of course now she's complaining about the possibility of starvation. Ha. Actually, she rarely complains when she refuses to eat, but she thinking about snacks. 

So we're off on another adventure!! They chose to go to Cold Springs School playground this morning. So we happened upon some sprinklers! Cheers!! And we took advantage of them on the way back home after getting heated-up at the playground!! Ha! They were laughing and squealing and apparently thought it was wonderful. :)

Next picture; Here are the two kids going tandem down the slide. There is another bigger slide, but there were several thistles directly at the bottom of it and I had no gloves to pull them out! However, they were happy and satisfied with Plan B. Following picture: Svea yelled to me; "Hey Gary!! I like closing my eyes when I swing! Sometimes it makes colors in my eyes. I Love this.

More pictures from the Playground. Cal and Svea spent a lot of time here building their "campfire" using pebbles and sticks. At least they were in the middle of some asphalt; very safe spot for a campfire. Haha. Last picture: Speaking of pebbles. There is a row of swings here with pebbles underneath! The most fun play here was "making it rain" using pebbles!! And piling pebbles up on the swing and see how many could ride before falling off.

For lunch she ate half of her ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas, and ate bites of applesauce. First picture: Svea is just getting started on coloring this picture, but she was actually too busy watching Nora color and studying Nora's picture. Then, just as I was taking the picture, Svea's marker rolled off the table and Svea managed to catch it before it hit the floor. She's explaining to Nora how such an amazing feat is even possible!! Haha! Nice catch Svea. Next picture: The girls are watching a "Chicken Dance" video and dancing/singing along with it. The boys, meanwhile, are marching to their own drum and Miles is chanting, "I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew!!" Svea - 5/18/2020

Svea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomato, avocado, and three or four cherries.  At breakfast Svea started saying, "My turn to talk. My turn to talk."  Which is what the big girls say at the table; all talking and saying it at the same time. Ha.  At lunch I put mustard on my ground turkey and I told Avi you can't be a wuss and eat mustard.  Svea said, "That's right Gary."  Haha. Here's what Svea frequently says to Lauralea: "Can you swing me Lauralea?!?"  Or, "Swing me Lauralea, swing me!?!"  And here's what she's asking: Swing me back and forth and throw me on the mattress.  :) Today was toy exchange Monday and Svea was very busy all morning.  I think these pictures kind of capture some of her morning and her busyness.  Playing with the jingle bells, food toys, and in the third picture she's trying to put the cab of the legos truck on ...

Svea - 5/19/2020

Svea ate just a couple bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, two servings of corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I took this picture because I like to catch Svea actually putting the puzzles together.  Good work Svea.  Second picture: More of the same this morning; playing with her babies. Next picture: Nora spends LOTS of time everyday dancing in front of the mirror.  During the time she went to her Preschool I never saw anyone continue this activity.  Well now she's back and here she is again.  Haha.  (Nora Boyle was the last one I remember doing this too!!  It's a "Nora thing.") Today Svea joined them as well.  So cute.
