Svea - 07/21/2022

Svea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and two servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate ground beef, bites of whole wheat elbow noodles, bites of peas, and ate applesauce. At meal time, usually breakfast, Svea will go wash her hands in the bathroom and come out and say, "Gary! I gotta go potty!" This is a frequent occurrence. This morning she said that and Cal said, "Well hurry up!! Your milk's gonna get cold!!" Hahaha. That made me roar. Funny Guy. He knew he'd said a funny one and he was grinning all over.

This was pretty random!! I could tell Svea wasn't sure how to explain something to me. She said, "Hey Gary! Did you notice something?!?" Occasionally I might, why do you ask? She said, "At the Country Club it was like you turned on Alexa." Huh? Sorry, I'm lost. Nora came to the rescue and helped Svea explain it to me. Nora said, "It was Cotton Fields back Home." Haha. So cute. She heard the song at the Country Club that we've played here many times. :)

The girls had their blankets laid out and then decided they wanted a picnic. However, they wanted to take all the food toys from the Daycare Room to the Preschool Room. Just move your picnic to the Daycare Room. Nope, they didn't want to do that, so the second picture depicts what they decided to do instead. Svea said, "You didn't want us to bring food out here, so we're drawing some food. Nice, Very creative. 

Next picture: We played outside this morning while it was still cool out and amazingly beautiful. The girls were playing with the ball Svea brought from home and when I took the picture they were giving the boys the "skunk eye" because they (the boys) had invaded and then retreated. Haha. Last picture: Finding more bugs and it's usually roly poly bugs.

For lunch she ate half of her ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas, and ate bites of applesauce. First picture: Svea is just getting started on coloring this picture, but she was actually too busy watching Nora color and studying Nora's picture. Then, just as I was taking the picture, Svea's marker rolled off the table and Svea managed to catch it before it hit the floor. She's explaining to Nora how such an amazing feat is even possible!! Haha! Nice catch Svea. Next picture: The girls are watching a "Chicken Dance" video and dancing/singing along with it. The boys, meanwhile, are marching to their own drum and Miles is chanting, "I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew!!" Svea - 5/18/2020

Svea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomato, avocado, and three or four cherries.  At breakfast Svea started saying, "My turn to talk. My turn to talk."  Which is what the big girls say at the table; all talking and saying it at the same time. Ha.  At lunch I put mustard on my ground turkey and I told Avi you can't be a wuss and eat mustard.  Svea said, "That's right Gary."  Haha. Here's what Svea frequently says to Lauralea: "Can you swing me Lauralea?!?"  Or, "Swing me Lauralea, swing me!?!"  And here's what she's asking: Swing me back and forth and throw me on the mattress.  :) Today was toy exchange Monday and Svea was very busy all morning.  I think these pictures kind of capture some of her morning and her busyness.  Playing with the jingle bells, food toys, and in the third picture she's trying to put the cab of the legos truck on ...

Svea - 5/19/2020

Svea ate just a couple bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, two servings of corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I took this picture because I like to catch Svea actually putting the puzzles together.  Good work Svea.  Second picture: More of the same this morning; playing with her babies. Next picture: Nora spends LOTS of time everyday dancing in front of the mirror.  During the time she went to her Preschool I never saw anyone continue this activity.  Well now she's back and here she is again.  Haha.  (Nora Boyle was the last one I remember doing this too!!  It's a "Nora thing.") Today Svea joined them as well.  So cute.
