Svea - 07/25/2022

Svea ate bites of cheerios and no banana for breakfast. For lunch she ate ground beef topped with avocado, whole wheat pita bread, two servings of olives, and ate her cantaloupe.

We did a toy, book, and puzzle exchange this weekend and as usual the kids were busy and engaged all morning. First picture: Svea had at least 2 of the purses and Cal showed up and said, "Here's another purse." Svea said (with much authority), "That is NOT a purse Cal. That is a wallet." :)  I took the second picture when they were doing this magnetic activity moving the colored buttons around the board..

Next picture: These two were playing with some pieces from an activity. Svea was sure they were being magical and she said, "Gary, this is a real Trick!! Because it's really gonna fall." :)  Following picture: This was actually quite funny and if you zoom in on Cal you can see what he's doing. He was making loud "Piggy sounds" (their words) in Svea's ear and they were laughing like it was the funniest thing ever. Finally she said, "Will you STOP!!?!!" Haha. Later he was using the name "Bob" for everything and she said, "Cal, can you please stop saying, Bob!?"Haha.

Last 2 pictures: Nora and Miles arrived shortly after 10:00 and Svea had been playing with Cal up to that point. She switched gears when Nora arrived and immediately started trying on some cute dresses. Atley and Avi have done lots of camps and lessons this summer and that has provided Svea lots of opportunities to play with Nora 1 on 1. They've both liked that a lot.

Svea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and three servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of her ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas, and ate bites of applesauce. First picture: Svea is just getting started on coloring this picture, but she was actually too busy watching Nora color and studying Nora's picture. Then, just as I was taking the picture, Svea's marker rolled off the table and Svea managed to catch it before it hit the floor. She's explaining to Nora how such an amazing feat is even possible!! Haha! Nice catch Svea. Next picture: The girls are watching a "Chicken Dance" video and dancing/singing along with it. The boys, meanwhile, are marching to their own drum and Miles is chanting, "I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew!!" Svea - 5/18/2020

Svea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomato, avocado, and three or four cherries.  At breakfast Svea started saying, "My turn to talk. My turn to talk."  Which is what the big girls say at the table; all talking and saying it at the same time. Ha.  At lunch I put mustard on my ground turkey and I told Avi you can't be a wuss and eat mustard.  Svea said, "That's right Gary."  Haha. Here's what Svea frequently says to Lauralea: "Can you swing me Lauralea?!?"  Or, "Swing me Lauralea, swing me!?!"  And here's what she's asking: Swing me back and forth and throw me on the mattress.  :) Today was toy exchange Monday and Svea was very busy all morning.  I think these pictures kind of capture some of her morning and her busyness.  Playing with the jingle bells, food toys, and in the third picture she's trying to put the cab of the legos truck on ...

Svea - 5/19/2020

Svea ate just a couple bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, two servings of corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I took this picture because I like to catch Svea actually putting the puzzles together.  Good work Svea.  Second picture: More of the same this morning; playing with her babies. Next picture: Nora spends LOTS of time everyday dancing in front of the mirror.  During the time she went to her Preschool I never saw anyone continue this activity.  Well now she's back and here she is again.  Haha.  (Nora Boyle was the last one I remember doing this too!!  It's a "Nora thing.") Today Svea joined them as well.  So cute.
