Svea - 08/12/2022

Svea ate half of her cream of wheat cereal and ate half of her grapes for breakfast. For lunch she again ate half of everything! Which I thought was awesome becasue she rarely eats any kind of stew. Hamburger stew with meat, potatoes, carrots, green beans, and tomatoes. Whole wheat dinner roll, and fruit cocktail.

As you already know - haha - we've been doing lots of making paper airplanes and following lots of origami videos for kids on YouTube. Today Avi and Atley each made an airplane and they actually flew quite well. I'm not sure how the chanting started, but the first thing I heard was Cal and Svea chanting; "Atley's is better! Atley's is better!" Over and over and over. As you probably assume that caused an uproar from Avi and led to general pandemonium. Haha.

First picture: Svea and I were watching Cal doing aggressive "face-plants" onto the mattress and they were cracking us up. Then he got on the blue balance beam and started going face-first off there too, but with a pillow added for padding. Svea decided to join him in that adventure, but she wanted them to synchronize their maneuvers. I took several pictures, but that never materialized!! Haha. Second picture: Lauralea and I loved Svea's hair this morning. It was SO cute. Nothing cuter than a French braid.

More pictures from this morning. Svea was making another "shaker cup" "for Georgia." Actually I think it was more for Svea. I put scotch tape on the top of it and the beads stick to the tape. Haha. Last picture: Svea relaxing on the mattress. She saw me taking a picture so she pulled her thumb out of her mouth; although she kept fiddling with the elastic on her undies. Ha.

Svea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and three servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of her ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas, and ate bites of applesauce. First picture: Svea is just getting started on coloring this picture, but she was actually too busy watching Nora color and studying Nora's picture. Then, just as I was taking the picture, Svea's marker rolled off the table and Svea managed to catch it before it hit the floor. She's explaining to Nora how such an amazing feat is even possible!! Haha! Nice catch Svea. Next picture: The girls are watching a "Chicken Dance" video and dancing/singing along with it. The boys, meanwhile, are marching to their own drum and Miles is chanting, "I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew! I fart, Pee Yew!!" Svea - 5/18/2020

Svea ate kix cereal and mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomato, avocado, and three or four cherries.  At breakfast Svea started saying, "My turn to talk. My turn to talk."  Which is what the big girls say at the table; all talking and saying it at the same time. Ha.  At lunch I put mustard on my ground turkey and I told Avi you can't be a wuss and eat mustard.  Svea said, "That's right Gary."  Haha. Here's what Svea frequently says to Lauralea: "Can you swing me Lauralea?!?"  Or, "Swing me Lauralea, swing me!?!"  And here's what she's asking: Swing me back and forth and throw me on the mattress.  :) Today was toy exchange Monday and Svea was very busy all morning.  I think these pictures kind of capture some of her morning and her busyness.  Playing with the jingle bells, food toys, and in the third picture she's trying to put the cab of the legos truck on ...

Svea - 5/19/2020

Svea ate just a couple bites of breakfast: waffle and grapes.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, two servings of corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I took this picture because I like to catch Svea actually putting the puzzles together.  Good work Svea.  Second picture: More of the same this morning; playing with her babies. Next picture: Nora spends LOTS of time everyday dancing in front of the mirror.  During the time she went to her Preschool I never saw anyone continue this activity.  Well now she's back and here she is again.  Haha.  (Nora Boyle was the last one I remember doing this too!!  It's a "Nora thing.") Today Svea joined them as well.  So cute.
