Svea's Journal

Svea ate bites of cream of wheat cereal and ate dried plums for breakfast.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat dinner roll, ate broccoli, and pineapple.   Svea and Nora were having a little battle this morning and I told Svea something to say to Nora; and Svea tried! "I will not stick out YOUR tongue at you." Haha. Close enough. Now be sweet to each other.  First picture: I love this picture a lot! Probably because these two get along just fine, BUT it's rare to see them in this scenario. I was getting breakfast ready to serve and this is what I saw when I looked out to the Play Room. Following picture: Svea working on an Art paper. She has her own style for just about everything! Ha.  Next two pictures: Cal was busy trying to attend to Svea's wants and needs! Ha. Svea ate waffle and three servings of fruit salad for breakfast. For Lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat tortillas, bites of sweet potatoes, and ate cherries.   This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon when Nora and Svea were playing with the Doll House and accessories. Nora is brushing Svea's hair and I think she must be using the brush that they use with "My Little Pony."  Next picture; Four of the Daycare kids were on the mattress pretending to sleep. Miles crawled over to Svea and she held out her arms and he immediately responded. They snuggled like that for at least 5 - 8 minutes before he moved away. Look at the last picture; Svea wasn't ready for him to leave and she's trying hard to coax him into coming back.  Last picture; Today was "Science with Lauralea" and the theme was "Eggs." Svea ate French toast and two servings of strawberries for breakfast. For lunch she ate bites of Whole 30 Chili with meat, tomatoes, peppers, sweet potatoes, tomato sauce, and lots of spices. She ate saltines and tropical fruit.  This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon when we were able to go outside and everyone was thrilled with that opportunity. Svea crawled up here in this corner and looked pretty cozy and cute.  Next picture: Svea doing Art or at least that's what she's supposed to be doing. She spends a LOT of time saying, "Look at this Nora." "Hey, look at this Nora." Look at Nora's expression; I think Nora doesn't really want to look at the moment! Haha. Svea ate half of whole wheat English muffin and ate half of her grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate no pork roast, half of whole wheat toast, ate beets, and ate applesauce.  What can I say about this first picture! This moment could not have been more spontaneous and precious. I just happened to have my camera in hand. The looks on their faces are so peaceful and pure. I love it. Miles is such an affectionate love bug. He was passing by, saw Svea laying like this, and went for the love. Svea just giggled and I love her expression.  Today Cal and Miles banged heads; but only Cal cried. Yesterday Cal and Svea banged heads; but only Cal cried. Hopefully Miles and Svea won't bang heads, but if they do I'll let you know who claims the status for Hard Head #1! Ha. It's definelty a toss-up, but Svea has a good shot at #1. Svea ate corn chex cereal and peaches for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground beef, toasted whole wheat sandwich thins, avocado, ate tomatoes, and two servings of mandarin oranges.   We did a toy, book, and puzzle exchange this weekend and so the kids were very busy and engaged all morning. In the first two pictures Nora and Svea were playing with the food toys and getting their plates all filled. Then they moved to the legos table and set up their sleeping spots as well. (Svea slept on the floor because things were getting a little crowded. Ha) Nora frequently calls her brother "Buddy" and she told him, "This one is mine Buddy." Svea said, "And this one is mine Buddy." Haha. That was the first time I heard Svea call him that. Svea ran off to get more food and she told Nora, "Save my food." Nora said, "You got it." :) Third picture; They moved to playing with the Doll House again too. Svea had her baby in a stroller and was saying, ...

Svea ate blueberry bagel and three servings of peaches for breakfast.  For lunch she ate a large serving of hamburger & sausage pizza with meat, peppers, pineapple, olives, and tomato sauce. She ate no whole wheat pizza crust (served on the side) and ate her pineapple.   This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon when the kids were waiting for me to set down the robot vacuum and watch it work. But as you can read in Avi's Blog, it didn't work and we did Plan B; which didn't even exist until a second plan was needed!!  :) Next two pictures with lots of pillows, stuffed animals, and doll blankets on top of the toy shelves. I asked Svea what she and Cal were doing and Svea said, "Me and Cal are on the train." Oh, where are you going? Svea said, "We're going to Mom and Dad's home." Ha. Svea ate whole wheat toast and half of grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate bite or two of pork roast, ate whole wheat tortillas, bite of carrots, bite of potatoes, and ate fruit salad.   This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon. Svea was getting ready to resume work on her Art paper after nap. What's your favorite color Svea!?! Haha. She had her markers all lined ready to go to work. Second picture: "Hey Gary, will you snuggle me?" Well I'd love to Svea. So Svea goes and gets a doll blanket. And the doll blankets are pretty big in this toy set!! Who was the photographer? When I took this picture Miles was climbing up the book rack to have a closer look at what Svea was doing. If you listen real close - put your ear down by the screen - you might hear Svea yelling at Miles. Haha. I know, I know....I'm not fun...

Svea ate whole wheat English muffin and a bite of dried plums for breakfast.  For lunch she ate chicken, no brown rice, bite of stir fry vegetables, and ate mandarin oranges.   Just an FYI; Svea has been dry all morning, but pooped in her diaper. And that's fine. Sometimes they will master one (poop or potty) before the other. She's had the biggest cutest grin both times heading back to the bathroom so that's a good sign. She's liking the idea of being a "big girl." First picture: She was playing with the Doll house for quite awhile this morning. (That also afforded her some alone time to get her poop out. Ha.) Second picture: After the Doll House play she joined the other girls doing some art; drawing and doing stickers.  Next picture: This simply couldn't have been any cuter! Svea ate some brown rice and one raisin for breakfast.  For lunch she ate salmon, whole wheat dinner roll, riced cauliflower, and two servings of mangoes.    This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon. Svea asked to have the play dough and Nora joined her. Those two stayed busy with it for probably 40 minutes. I liked how Svea was pushing her knife back and forth through the dough like you see in the picture. She is such a little experimenter. See the three hearts she made? When I flattened out her play dough the second time she wanted those left there. She said, "I just love these hearts."  :) Next picture: After cleaning up from breakfast this is where I found Nora and Svea. The heat vent is under that yellow bench. Ha. It has an arched top that points the flow to the center of the room, but I keep the yellow bench covering it so kids don't stand on it. Anyhow these two know where the choice seats in the house are located on a cold winter morning! :) ...

Svea ate whole wheat English muffin and two servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast.  For lunch she had bites of ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, ate peas, and applesauce.   First two pictures; This is literally what Svea did ALL morning when it wasn't "Science with Lauralea." It will be interesting to see how long before the newness of the Doll Houses wears off!! Svea is SO thrilled to spend time in the Preschool Room and she's been listening very well. :) She knows she has to listen to me to spend time in the Preschool Room. Good job Svea. I'm super proud of you! She's at the "front door" of the Doll House in the second picture. Ha. Next picture: Today was "Science with Lauralea" for the Preschool kids. Svea ate French toast and ate two servings of strawberries for breakfast.  For lunch she ate half of Hearty Paleo Stew with meat, cauliflower, broccoli, carrots, sweet potatoes, tomatoes, and green beans. She ate saltines and ate tropical fruit.  First picture: This is left over from yesterday afternoon. Svea was pretending to sleep and then telling Cal and Miles to wake her up after they wake up. Ha. So I told the boys to wake up "Sleeping Beauty" and Cal was walking around saying, "Sleeping Beauty, Sleeping Beauty, Sleeping Beauty." Next picture: Hiding in the fort she and Nora built. The two little boys were still in their highchairs eating breakfast so the girls had a few minutes to build this and play before trouble arrived. :) You can see Nora's foot heading into their fort. Svea ate bites of whole grain waffle and ate grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortillas, corn, and two servings of baked cinnamon apples.   This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon and I like what was happening here. Svea hasn't been all that interested in puzzles, which is fine, but she stayed intently focused on watching Atley do this entire puzzle. They learn so much from observation like this and it gives them encouragement to try it for themselves.  Next picture; Svea in her leotards again! Ha. But she has on leggings so that helps to keep her warm. (She snuggled with me for awhile this morning with a doll blanket.) She was working on a Valentine's Heart and putting stickers on it. In the following picture she had said to Nora; "Did you miss me Nora?" Ha.
