Svea's Journal

Svea ate most of blueberry waffle and most of grapes for breakfast. For lunch she ate chicken, ate whole wheat tortillas, corn, and apple slices.    This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon and I just wanted you to see the large assortment of supplies they have set out on the table!! And they are working on tiny little pieces of Art. Ha. Second picture: Back to working on some Art this morning. Svea was telling me about her work and she said, "This one's for Mommy, this one's for Me, this one's for Daddy. Oh No!! I forgot to do one for Avi!!" So the piece on Svea's far right is the one for Avi. Third Picture: I frequently think of silly labels for the pictures and I'm calling this one: "Early years of an Art Critic." Svea ate kix cereal and bites of fruit cocktail for breakfast. For lunch she ate avocado on ground turkey, most of toasted whole wheat hamburger bun, ate tomatoes and ate cherries. At the lunch table Svea asked Atley; "What does your home look like!?!" Atley said, "You'll find out what you come to my house." Random announcement by Svea. "Hey Gary! Sylvie and Conner broke up. That means they're not best friends anymore. They broke up." Awww, that's sad. However, thanks for the update and keeping me informed with the latest on Sylvie's relationships. :) This first picture is left over from Friday afternoon. Svea said, "Hey Gary! Look at this!!" I saw what she was doing and grabbed my camera. By the time I got the camera Avi, who'd heard Svea and saw what she was doing, had sprinted over to join her Sister. Haha. Svea ate bites of oatmeal and ate baked cinnamon apples for breakfast. For lunch she ate no hamburger stew with meat, carrots, green beans, tomatoes, potatoes, and onions. She ate whole wheat dinner roll and no fruit cocktail.    First picture: All 6 kids in one picture. I Love this group of children. Second picture: Svea built most of this "castle" and Nora helped her a bit. Nora said, "I'll be in charge of our castle." Svea was good with that. Svea said, "Can Cal come in? He said he would be nice to us!" Nora gave her approval and Cal lasted for probably 15 - 20 minutes before he was booted out of the castle! Ha. Next picture: Svea was just laying in the middle of the floor sucking her thumb. Cal sat down and soon Miles showed up and this is what happened next. Everyone smiling and giggling! :) Last picture: I love these unplanned spontaneous moments. And this is a precious Sister moment. 

Svea ate whole wheat toast and two servings of mangoes for breakfast. For lunch she ate a large serving of ground beef with marinara sauce on top of a large serving of whole wheat spaghetti noodles, ate most of cauliflower, and ate fruit salad.   This first picture is from yesterday afternoon. Svea said, "Hey Gary!! How come you NEVER let us have Play-dough!?!?" Well Svea, first let me say that statement is SO false and I want to know why you NEVER ask. Hahaha. Secondly is this your way of asking for the play-dough!?! Svea said, "Yes." Haha. "Sure you can. Now wasn't that easy!?" Next picture: I sent this picture to Emily to show Nora and Nora said the same thing I did; "Whoooaaa!!" Her personality and mannerisms totally fit this Queen dress. :) I love it. Our little Queen. Svea ate blueberry bagel and two servings of grapes for breakfast. For lunch she ate most of her shrimp, ate brown rice soaked in black raspberry juice, bites of broccoli, and no black raspberries.   Svea brought 4 "Fancy Nancy" books and one book about Nancy teaching her Dad Ballerina lessons. Svea said, "Boys can wear tutus whenever they want; just not to dance class." Cal said, "Ok I won't." Haha. First picture: Svea joined Atley doing Animal Workout with Alexa. Svea ate bran cereal and no raisins for breakfast. For lunch she ate chicken topped with avocado, two servings of whole wheat pita bread, ate cucumbers, and ate pears.  First picture: I took this picture shortly after breakfast when these two were being very quiet and I peeked around the corner for a picture! Svea was "reading" some of the new books to Cal. Then in the following picture Svea was fixing a birthday cake for Cal and wouldn't let him come close until she had it completed. You can see she's doing her dramatic hand motions while explaining all the hard work that went into fixing this birthday cake for him. AND he had better be grateful!! :) Next picture: We did a toy, book, and puzzle exchange this weekend and Svea was totally engaged with the Doll House accessories for a long time. Svea ate bites of cream of wheat cereal and bites of dried plums for breakfast. For lunch she ate chicken, brown rice, ate broccoli, and pineapple.  First two pictures when Svea was working hard at her Art paper. First picture she is using the stamps and making circles on her page. Then she was coloring the circles. And in the second picture she said, "Hey Gary! It's the Dad, the Mom, and the Baby." I told her the Baby's name was Svea and she beamed!! If you look close at the first picture she almost has her forehead in the red ink pad. So if you see some red, or maybe it's pink, in her hair now you know.  Next picture: Nora and Svea asked if they could play with the goodies they brought from home. These two kindred spirits are so cute together!! Nora had her purse (Or whatever she calls it. I called it a "lunch bucket" and she set me straight on that! Haha. She thought this picture was hilarious and wanted to look at it several times. It's pretty funny in live mode too.  Next picture: Svea and Cal were the only ones here - not counting Granddaughters - until about 10:15 when Grandparents brought Miles and Nora. Svea enjoyed having Eden's attention to herself. In the second picture Eden was obviously rolling up Svea like a burrito - over and over again. Svea ate French toast and two servings of strawberries for breakfast. For lunch she no whole 30 chili with meat, sweet potatoes, tomatoes, peppers, and tomato sauce. She ate whole wheat dinner roll and ate all of her mangoes.  Lauralea's schedule is pretty wacky again this week - she's in Kalispell today - so she did Science with the kids yesterday afternoon. She did some random fun things with the kids and I have pictures from 3 activities. Story and Eden were holding up a blanket and we were experimenting if the blanket would absorb the blow when throwing an egg at it. Daycare kids said it was gonna break. Svea ate whole wheat English muffin and ate grapes for breakfast. For lunch she ate bites of pork roast, bites of whole wheat toast, no beets, and ate some applesauce.  Callahan and Svea were arguing about giving Alexa instructions. Cal was yelling, "more" and Svea was yelling, "Stop." That was bugging Eden and she came over and asked, "Why are you fighting?" And Cal verbalized it very well. Eden asked, "Do you know rock-paper-scissors?" That hit my funny bone. Oh well, nice try Eden. First picture: Nora was here first and she was so happy to see Svea when Svea arrived. Isn't this cute. Svea ate some corn chex cereal and some peaches for breakfast. For lunch she ate ground beef topped with avocado, ate whole wheat hamburger bun, tomatoes, and two servings of mandarin oranges.  Our Granddaughters - Story and Eden - are here this week and Svea arrived just in time to join them for breakfast. I loved how she introduced herself when she sat down. "My name is Vay Vay Nelson." So cute. In the second picture Eden was rolling Svea up like burrito. :) Lauralea took off work Monday and Tuesday and she took the girls "geo-caching" after breakfast.  So until 11:30 Cal and Svea were the only kids here. They played together the entire time and had very minimal conflict - especially when Cal was willing to obey orders. Haha. Actually Svea was flexible as well.
