Svea's Journal

Svea ate most of her whole wheat toast and most of her grapes for breakfast. For lunch she ate pork roast, whole wheat tortillas, ate most of her carrots, ate potatoes, and three servings of mango/strawberries. The first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon. I asked Svea if she'd pull her thumb out of her mouth and she did. What a cute picture. Thank you for the sweet smile Svea. Second picture: Two peas in a pod right there!! I love Svea's expression watching her Buddy. Next picture: Svea and Nora had just relocated their "house" and of course the boys were peering inside monitoring their progress. Cal was whispering to Miles about "stealing their babies." Haha. Goofballs. You can see Nora's legs as she's standing on the block cabinet monitoring the situation!! You boys are living dangerously!! Svea ate most of her toasted whole wheat English muffin and no dried plums for breakfast. For lunch she ate chicken, no brown rice, taste of squash, and ate two servings of mandarin oranges. "Yukky" and "Gross" were the two most common adjectives for the squash. Haha. These first two pictures are left over from yesterday afternoon when the girls were watching and following some step-by-step instructions for the "Macarena." Nora and Svea were really into doing it; Atley did for a few moments two or three different times. Next picture: Svea and Nora brought jewelry boxes from home and they were totally into that all morning. The boys would come around and stick their noses in, but they were quickly run off. Haha. Although I am posting a picture of Miles and Callahan on their Blogs as they were nosing around when the girls were distracted. Svea ate bites of cheerios and no banana for breakfast. For lunch she ate ground beef topped with avocado, whole wheat pita bread, two servings of olives, and ate her cantaloupe. We did a toy, book, and puzzle exchange this weekend and as usual the kids were busy and engaged all morning. First picture: Svea had at least 2 of the purses and Cal showed up and said, "Here's another purse." Svea said (with much authority), "That is NOT a purse Cal. That is a wallet." :)  I took the second picture when they were doing this magnetic activity moving the colored buttons around the board.. Next picture: These two were playing with some pieces from an activity. Svea was sure they were being magical and she said, "Gary, this is a real Trick!! Svea ate bites of brown rice and no raisins for breakfast. For lunch she ate salmon, half of her whole wheat dinner roll, no green beans, and ate most of her mangoes.  First picture: Nora and Svea were patiently waiting for Avi to get the boys herded into position. And I thought they liked so cute just standing there waiting!! Second picture: Nora, Avi, and Svea are under the blanket with trouble lurking nearby! They said they were gonna stay under there until "Lunch Time." Ok, have fun for the next 90 minutes. Haha. Next picture: Svea was doing a similar art picture to what Avi and Nora were working on. Following picture; I took down the bar in front of the mirror, but they're able to put their toes on the board and then go over backwards. Svea ate toasted whole wheat English muffin and two servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate ground beef, bites of whole wheat elbow noodles, bites of peas, and ate applesauce. At meal time, usually breakfast, Svea will go wash her hands in the bathroom and come out and say, "Gary! I gotta go potty!" This is a frequent occurrence. This morning she said that and Cal said, "Well hurry up!! Your milk's gonna get cold!!" Hahaha. That made me roar. Funny Guy. He knew he'd said a funny one and he was grinning all over. This was pretty random!! I could tell Svea wasn't sure how to explain something to me. She said, "Hey Gary! Did you notice something?!?" Occasionally I might, why do you ask? She said, "At the Country Club it was like you turned on Alexa." Huh? Sorry, I'm lost. Nora came to the rescue and helped Svea explain it to me. Nora said, "It was Cotton Fields back Home." Haha. Svea ate French toast casserole (with syrup) and two servings of strawberries for breakfast. For lunch she ate a large serving of Hearty Paleo Stew with meat, broccoli, cauliflower, tomatoes, green beans, and carrots. She said, "I'm liking your stew now." She ate saltines and ate mangoes from her tropical fruit. This first picture is leftover from yesterday afternoon and I love what was happening here!! First, it's been awhile since all 6 kids were here at the same time!! Avilene was getting everyone into their "spots" for a game of "Duck Duck Goose" that she organized by herself. Miles is the "It Guy" in the picture and it was very funny. He'd go around and around and decide who to "touch," but he'd just stand there. Avi would say, "Run Miles Run." Svea ate a bite of waffle and ate a large serving of grapes for breakfast. For lunch she ate chicken, two servings of whole wheat tortillas, ate corn, and ate apples. First picture: Yesterday afternoon our neighbor Jeff was using my trailer to clean up his back yard and the kids were enjoying watching him back the trailer into position. Second picture; We were doing selfies this morning when it was just these two here. Snuggles with Gary. Next picture: I'll bet you can't guess what the girls are writing on the paper. I wouldn't have known except for the following incident. The boys were having fun with the battery-powered cars on the hardwood floor and the cars work so much better there than the carpet. Svea ate kix cereal and half of her fruit cocktail for breakfast. For lunch she ate ground turkey topped with avocado, ate toasted whole wheat sandwich thins, tomatoes, and two servings of cherries.  I took this first picture shortly after Svea arrived and Atley was showing Cal and Svea how to use the balancing activity and experimenting with ways to get them to balance. Next picture: We played outside and here's Cal and Svea riding on the bikes. Nora and Miles arrived about Lunch time. Following picture; Svea and Cal joined Atley playing with the cars and ramp. Atley left to go to Tennis lesson, but Svea continued to play with the cars for a long time while Cal wanted to do some sidewalk chalk. Next picture: I love Svea's "make-believe" play!! Svea ate French toast and One dried plum for breakfast. For lunch she ate pulled pork, whole wheat toast, peas, and two servings of strawberries.  First picture: Svea was the only one still eating and she was highly entertained by watching Avilene playing with Miles. Every few minutes she was laughing hard. So cute. Following picture: There are lots of choices of tape in the basket and the kids have been loving that! We've basically put out almost all of my Art Supplies, but I think there will still be lots left over at the end of August. Next picture; Svea and Nora were sharing a beach towel and I was gonna take a picture of them. Avi saw what I was doing and dived onto the blanket so I was dragging her off and taking a picture at the same time. Svea ate whole wheat toast and two servings of mangoes for breakfast. For lunch she only ate the fruit salad. No whole wheat spaghetti noodles topped with ground beef and marinara sauce, and no cauliflower.  First picture: Nora doing a dramatic presentation of her Elsa doll that she brought from home. And Svea was duly impressed even though she probably has the same doll at home. :) Following picture: The Twins listening to Avi doing one of her monologues. Next picture: We played outside for awhile this morning and the first thing we saw was a bunny in the yard. I managed to get a picture as it went sprinting away from us! :) Following picture: Lots of bugs out on the sidewalk this morning. Especially the roly poly bugs. Last picture: The kids were lined up - unintentionally according to height - watching the garbage truck empty the recycle bin. And the driver honked the horn at them which they loved.

Svea ate blueberry bagel and two servings of grapes for breakfast. For lunch she ate One shrimp, ate brown rice covered with berry juice, no broccoli, and no mixed berries. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon and this was pretty cool for me to watch the level of Trust Svea has for Sister Avi. Svea had climbed up here to try to peek over, but couldn't see much. (I don't often let them crawl on this fence because I'm afraid of the kids getting slivers.) Anyhow, Svea was a bit apprehensive about getting down and Sister came to the rescue. Avi basically told her to let loose and Svea  did just that and fell backwards into Avi's arms. :) Next two pictures - Svea was admiring Nora's French Braid while Nora was doing some Art. Nora said, "I love Svea and Avi. I have a crush on Svea and Avi." Haha. So cute.
