Svea's Journal

Svea ate cream of wheat cereal and dried plums for breakfast.  For lunch she ate half of Whole 30 Chili with meat, peppers, sweet potatoes, tomatoes, and tomato sauce.  She ate half of whole wheat dinner roll, and ate tropical fruit.   This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  Svea and Nora looked so cute in their pajamas holding hands and going back and forth across the room.  And they both were wearing their pajamas yesterday as well.  Svea said, "Gary, My having a fun day!"  I love how she says that!  And she probably says that 3 or 4 times a week.   Here are some pictures from her morning:  She and Cal were the ones who laid out the blocks like you see in the picture and then trying to walk on them.  And Miles coming along behind.  Following picture;  Doing some coloring and more Art.  Svea was singing for a majority of the time she was doing Art.  Among other songs I heard; "Partridge in a P...

Svea ate whole wheat waffle and three servings of fruit salad for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground turkey, no whole wheat tortillas, no sweet potato, and ate cherries.   Warning # 1 : If a farting story is too crude then skip this paragraph!   Warning # 2!  You'll miss a good story if you skip this!!  Yesterday afternoon Atley did a very loud and boisterous toot!  Svea said, "Awww...Ewww...that was Gary!"  Avi said, "No, that was Atley!" Svea said, "Trust me!  That was Gary!!"  LOL!!  (I certainly hope Atley took that as a compliment!) Svea ate French toast and two servings of strawberries for breakfast.  For lunch she ate chicken, ate brown rice, bite of broccoli, and ate pineapple.     The kids were all heading in to get ready for breakfast and Svea said, "Gary!!  I just saw Miles walking!!" Yes! I'm glad you noticed!!  Haha!  That always just cracks me up!!  I've heard this exact statement SO MANY TIMES over the years of Child Care.  Just like today, it can be weeks and even months and a child will act like it's the first time they've actually seen a younger one walking.  And maybe it is the first time they've "really" seen it!! Svea ate whole wheat toast and ate grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate pork roast, ate whole wheat English muffin, ate beets, and applesauce.  Svea went to the window to wave at Daddy this morning and she yelled, "Hey Avi! Come wave at my Dad!!"  Haha.   The first two pictures are left over from yesterday afternoon.  I just wanted to show you another activity she was doing in the Preschool Room yesterday.  Threading the pipe cleaners back and forth through the holes.  Great for small motor practice.  Second picture;  And she makes a cute little froggy!!  :) Next picture; A bit blurry, but you get the idea!  Her dress today is awesome for spinning.  She loved looking at this picture I took!  Following picture;  I was in the kitchen after breakfast and she said,"Hey Gary, come here. Svea ate half of corn chex cereal and two servings of peaches for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground beef, toasted whole wheat sandwich thin, tomatoes, avocado, and two servings of mandarin oranges.  This was toy exchange weekend and Svea was playing with the food toys just as soon as she arrived.  After breakfast she said, "We're making a pizza for Atley's Birthday and it's so yummy!!"  Second picture: Nora was also making a surprise for Atley's Birthday and she instructed Atley to close her eyes before coming to the couch to see the big surprise!  (That's Nora wearing the lioness suit!) Svea ate oatmeal and ate dried cranberries for breakfast.  For lunch she ate bites of tilapia, bites of whole wheat elbow noodles, no green beans, and ate applesauce.  At breakfast this morning Avi was giving everyone a lesson when "pointing at people" is acceptable and not acceptable.  "My Mom said we can point at people we know, but we don't point at people we don't know!!"  Svea said, "And we DON'T point at Mom and Dad!!"  LOL!!  I roared! Svea was not here for breakfast.  For lunch she ate a large serving of hamburger & sausage pizza with meats, peppers, pineapple, olives, mushrooms, and tomato sauce.  She had bites of whole wheat pizza crust we serve on the side, and bites of pineapple on the side too.   These first two pictures are left over from yesterday afternoon and Svea stood in front of this little mirror for the longest time doing lots of self-examination!!  :)  And never taking her thumb from her mouth.  Following picture: As you all know the four big kids threaded fruit loops on a string.  I asked Avilene, "When you're done with your necklace would you like to help your sister?"  Avi said, "No, That would be boring!"  Haha.  It didn't really matter because little Miss Independent Svea wanted help from NO one. Svea ate two servings of whole wheat toast and two servings of grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate pork roast, bite of whole wheat tortilla, ate carrots, and two servings of fruit salad.    Yesterday afternoon when Andy picked up Svea for gymnastics the kids were at the window waiting to wave bye.  As the truck went on by Nora said, "They didn't even stop!!"  Atley said, "Maybe they couldn't hit the brakes very well!!"  Hahaha.  First picture;  Doing art early this morning.   Next picture:  The three big girls were doing Preschool activities in the Preschool Room and all three of the young ones are in the igloo.  Svea and Cal said it was their "Cave."  Playing peacefully I'm thinking because I'm not hearing any yelling, screaming, or crying!!  Which was pretty amazing and impressive to have three little ones in such close proximity for any length of time.  Good job little people.  Following picture:  Mi...

Svea ate whole wheat English muffin and ate dried plums for breakfast.  For lunch she ate some chicken, some brown rice, ate a couple bites of stir fry vegetables, and ate mandarin oranges.   First picture:  This is from yesterday afternoon when she was building "a castle" she said.  Second picture: She was running, but also listening to Alexa and singing along with Alexa.  I like the "soulful" expression on her face.  :) Next picture:  From yesterday afternoon.  Svea and Nora pretending to nap.  Atley NEVER does the napping, but she's always the self-designated person to fetch blankets, pillows, dress-up clothes, stuffed animals and anything soft she can find.  Following picture;  Same story, except Atley is just out of the picture.  Miles has joined them and is partially laying on sister Nora. Svea ate cheerios and bite of banana for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground beef, whole wheat pita bread, ate avocado, olives, and fruit cocktail.   I asked, "How old are you Svea?"  She said, "I don't know.  I've had lot of birthdays!!"  Haha.  That cracked me up!!  Well Svea I can totally relate.  First picture;  Svea showing off her cuteness and cute dress to Lauralea.  :)  Next picture:  Svea was working on art; drawing, coloring and doing stickers this mooning.  She had a marker that Nora wanted (even though there is a container there with over 40 markers - ha) and Nora told her to "Color fast!"  So Svea did just what Nora asked and very soon passed the marker on to Nora.  Nora said, "Why did you color so fast!?!"  Svea didn't answer.  Nora said, "We don't color fast!!"  Don't worry Svea; I'm confused too.  Haha.   Next picture;  It was fun watching Callahan and Svea play th...

Svea ate half of brown rice and half of raisins for breakfast.  For lunch she ate salmon, whole wheat dinner roll, two servings of riced cauliflower, and three servings of mangoes.  I just guessed at Svea's breakfast amounts because she dumped her bowl of rice and raisins on the floor upside-down.  I was about half way through cleaning it up and Svea said, "Gary, there's rice on the floor."  Haha.  Really?  I don't know what I'd do without your keen observations helping me along Svea!!  :) After everyone was done with breakfast I was cleaning off the table and Svea came to the gate and yelled: "Gary!! Poop on the floor!!"  I frantically sprinted to the Daycare Room searching the floor for poop!  Svea is watching with a puzzled look on her face.  Where's the Poop!?!?  She shrugged her shoulders and said, "I don't know."  Well you goofy little girl.  If you're trying to prank me, you were successful.  Ha. Svea ate whole wheat English muffin and ate two servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, ate two servings of peas, and two servings of applesauce.  She asked for the peas to be covered with applesauce like Nora.   Svea had just finished eating breakfast and called me from the Daycare Room; "Gary, my pants are falling down!"  Callahan was still in his highchair and started singing, "Falling Down, falling down, falling down."  Right on tune with "London Bridge is Falling Down."  Hahaha.  So awesome!! Svea was singing "Jingle Bells" several times this morning.  The second stanza says, "The horse was lean and lank."  I like Svea's translation better!!  "The horse was ween and wank !!"  Haha.   Adorable picture of the day!!  :)  This was shortly after Svea arrived and before Nora was squealing on Svea for not following some rules correctly.   I just Post...
