Svea - 4/11/2019

Svea ate whole wheat English muffin and sniffed and maybe tasted the oranges for breakfast.  For lunch she had a bite of ground beef, ate whole wheat elbow noodles, tasted a pea, and had a bite of applesauce. The three pictures today are from yesterday afternoon when the kids were having a blast with Callahan in the stroller.  Look how hard Svea is working in the first picture!  Leaning into it and pushing with all of her might and strength!!  Even if she gets it going the changing table is only a few inches away!  Ha!  The stroller is usually on the hardwood floor where the three oldest girls can push it up and down the hallway.  I like the second picture when Svea stopped and went to check on her passenger!  She was being gentle with him - or at least not poking at him.  Good job Svea. Last picture: So Callahan got tired of the stroller and when I took him out Svea crawled into it.  That was after I'd told Atley, Avi, and Nora;...

Svea ate French toast and strawberries for breakfast.  For lunch she ate several bites of hearty paleo stew with meat, cauliflower, broccoli, sweet potatoes, green beans, and carrots.  She also ate crackers and half of tropical fruit. This first note is leftover from yesterday afternoon.  I was changing Svea's poopy diaper and Linnea had arranged a couple of blocks to stand on and watch from the viewing area.  Ha!  Linnea saw it was poopy and she said, "Yuk Svea! Yuk!"  Haha!!  (She's had good teachers around here!) First picture: Svea brought me the frog suit so I draped it over her head and she immediately got on the mattress where Atley and Avi were practicing "somersaults."  Notice where Avi ended up after doing her somersault.  A bit too close to the wall!!  :)  Second picture: Then Svea started bringing me the other animal suits.  She was walking past the mirror and had slowed down to have a look.  :) Last ...

Svea ate bites of waffle and two servings of grapes for breakfast.  For lunch: no chicken, no whole wheat tortillas, ate corn, and baked cinnamon apples. Svea ran to the window step and got up to wave bye to Momma.  Atley was excited; "She did it!!"  Ha!  Like it was the first time!  And it probably was the first time - the first time it registered with Atley that Svea could get up there!!  Atley was "chasing" Svea and they were both laughing.  That was very cute.  Atley does that so well; without ever actually touching the one she's chasing!! Svea looked like she was trying to tear down the gate/protection fence that I have up for Callahan.  I growled at her to leave it standing and she closed her eyes and walked away.  Haha!  That made me laugh!  It was like: "Ok, I can't see you so you don't exist!!"  :) Here are some pictures from Svea's morning: She was exploring the far depths of the toy shelf!  She stayed...

Svea ate most of breakfast: kix cereal and mixed fruit.  For lunch she ate a couple bites of ground turkey, bites of whole wheat hamburger bun, a couple bites of tomatoes, bites of avocado, and half of her cherries. This first picture is leftover from Friday afternoon, but I have to include it because I think it's cute!  She brought the mask to me, but you gotta work quick in that scenario because Svea's not hanging around for long and I managed to get it upside-down!  Haha!  She left it on for a few minutes.  If you zoom in you can see one of her eyes.  :) Next picture; This was shortly after the Nelson kids arrived this morning and Avi was basically following Svea around and doing what you see in the picture.  Avi was initiating all of it, but Svea was loving it too.  (You'll see a very similar picture that I posted in Avi's Blog today!)  Following picture;  Basically in the same spot, but obviously Avi had moved on to something ...

Svea ate brown rice and one or two raisins for breakfast.  For lunch she ate one bite of hamburger stew with meat, green beans, carrots, and tomatoes.  She also ate most of whole wheat dinner roll and most of apricots. First picture is from outside time yesterday afternoon.  I love how Svea just cruises all over the yard, very independent and exploring everything.  The big girls were using chalk and she had to stop and inspect what Avi was making.   Yesterday I talked in the Blog about Linnea and Svea playing in the igloo - Svea inside and Linnea trying to put a doll blanket over the entrance.  This morning Linnea wanted to do it again and was motioning Svea to go in the igloo.  Linnea said, "Svea, Svea, in here Svea."  Svea totally knew what Linnea wanted and got off the floor and went in the igloo.  It was SO cute!!  And Linnea started trying to cover the entrance again. Look at Svea's right pant leg in the next picture. ...

Svea ate two servings of French toast and tasted a dried plum for breakfast.  (Chewed on it twice and never actually swallowed it, but she definitely got a good taste!  Ha!)  For lunch she had a bite of ground beef with marinara sauce on whole wheat spaghetti noodles, bite of cauliflower, and two servings of fruit salad. I have a note left over from yesterday afternoon that was SO cute.  Svea was in the igloo and Linnea had a doll blanket and was trying to hang it over the entrance to the igloo.  Linnea looked at me and said, "She hide in there."  Haha!  Isn't that cute!?  I loved it.  That's a great four word sentence Linnea!  Svea was looking at a book in the igloo and I don't think she even noticed what Linnea was doing.  Ha! First two pictures - Svea was wearing this "frog suit" several times this morning.  She had it on before Momma Molly even left and she was wearing it when she was at the window waving bye.  The...

Svea ate whole wheat toast and a large serving of mangoes for breakfast.  For lunch she sniffed the pulled pork, bites of whole wheat toast, bites of peas, and ate her strawberries.  So for you observant types that noticed whole wheat toast for breakfast AND whole wheat toast for lunch here's the reason!!  Haha!  Our menu is set up to  not  have repeating breads or anything else in the same day.  However, we switched Wednesday's Lunch with Thursday's lunch, so there you have it!!  :)  And I won't bore you with the reason for that switch!! We've been able to start going outside in the afternoons and the kids are LOVING it!!  Svea totally LOVES outside time.  I will occasionally post pictures from the previous afternoon and here are a couple from yesterday.  First picture: Svea was messing with the bike and it's obvious she's been watching the other kids pedal!!  She kept trying to put her foot on the pedal like you see in...
