Svea's Journal

Svea ate bites of whole wheat English muffin and three servings of grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate pork roast, no whole wheat toast, ate beets, and two servings of applesauce. Pictures from yesterday: This first picture is from snack and Svea's first time at the "big girl's table." Svea ate half of whole grain Chex cereal and ate two servings of pears for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground beef, no whole wheat hamburger bun, bite of tomatoes, ate avocado, and ate mandarin oranges. Today is Toy exchange Monday and it was a very busy morning!!  The energy level was high all morning; which always adds to the volume as well.  And actually that's a great sound here, because I know everyone is busy, happy, and engaged in activities.  In the first picture Miles had crawled over to see what Svea was doing and Svea never yells at him.  (Because he doesn't aggressively go after her toys.)  Second picture; Playing with the food toys.  Those are the first things Svea played with this morning. Svea ate whole wheat toast and ate grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate half of pork roast, no whole wheat tortillas, bites of carrots, and ate a large serving of fruit salad.  When Svea was coming out for breakfast she was modeling her dress so cute.  She said, "Look at me Gary."  Yes you love your dresses don't you?  Then in her high chair she and Callahan were "chirping" back and forth and I said, "You goofy suckers!!"  Svea said, "I am not a sucker!"  :)  Ok, you're just goofy!!  :) These first two pictures are left over from yesterday afternoon.  Once again Svea is practicing her newly acquired pedaling skills.  And she's doing great with it.  She rides both size bikes I have.  In the second picture she was doing chalk on the concrete.  She's actually the one who asked to do sidewalk chalk. Svea ate most of whole wheat English muffin and bites of dried plums for breakfast.  For lunch she ate most of chicken, a large serving of brown rice, ate most of stir fry vegetables, and ate all of her mandarin oranges. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  We used to call this "doing bridges" when practicing for wrestling to keep your shoulders from the mat and from getting "pinned."  Future wrestlers right here.  :)  Nora and Atley were the ones doing it and then Svea joined in the background.  So cute.  Svea has herself perfectly pinned!!  :)  Atley said, "That's a really fun trick!!" Svea ate cheerios and a bite of banana for breakfast.  For lunch she ate no ground beef, no whole wheat pita bread, ate olives, and a large serving of watermelon. First picture; As soon as she was done eating breakfast Svea joined Nora who was already hiding out in their "cave." (Their words.)  Callahan is obviously lurking nearby ready to pester them.  Haha.  Second picture; Then Nora and Svea were playing with the blocks - you can see Nora in the background on her "horse."  Svea kept rearranging her blocks and finally said, "There, that is better." Very cute; she had to get them "just right." Svea ate brown rice and no raisins for breakfast.  For lunch she ate salmon, no whole wheat dinner roll, three servings of cauliflower, and two servings of mangos.  I've mentioned how Avi likes to "trick" me and sometimes she says she "joked me."  That phrase has kind of stuck and now Atley and Nora "joke me" too.  At breakfast this morning Svea just randomly said, "I joked you!!"  Haha.  She's got the phrase down, but I wasn't aware of any jokes.  :) This first picture is from yesterday afternoon when the kids were playing with the wood/building blocks on the patio.  Nora wanted me to take a picture of her creation so I did.  Then I realized Svea was in the background.  Haha.  She was reaching to the bottom of the tub, but I like how her eyes are looking upward.  :) In the next picture Nora and Svea were hiding out under the blankets.  They were yelling, especially Nora, because they were certain Cal was gonna destr...

Svea had a bite of whole wheat English muffin and ate three servings of mandarin oranges for breakfast.  For lunch she ate most of meat loaf, bite or two of whole wheat elbow noodles, ate peas, and applesauce. Nora was covered up with a blanket and Lauralea said, "I see a blanket, but I don't see Nora."  Svea said, "Well get that blanket off."  Haha.  That was an easy fix. Svea ate French toast and three servings of strawberries for breakfast.  For lunch she ate Paleo Stew with meat, broccoli, cauliflower, green beans, carrots, tomatoes, and sweet potatoes.  She ate saltines and tropical fruit.   First picture: Look at that face.  Haha.  So cute.  She thinks she can just point and I will read her mind and go retrieve whatever she wants.  Haha.  Sorry cutie!  That doesn't work here.  And even if I knew what you wanted I'd still ask you to use your words.  So eventually she did use her words and  helped me understand that she wanted "Simba."  She was wanting to cuddle under the blanket.  Second picture;  Then Cal came over to see what was going on and I like how she's keeping a close eye on him.  Haha. Svea ate waffles and grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate most of chicken, bites of whole wheat tortillas, ate corn, and ate baked cinnamon apples. I have a couple pictures left over from yesterday afternoon.  Svea and Cal were playing as soon as they awoke from their naps.  Cal looks like he's going head-first off the little climber, but actually he pushed himself backwards and saved himself from doing a nosedive.  Second picture: Svea is making good progress learning to pedal.  She pretty much has the whole idea and now it's just a matter of doing it over and over.  Speaking of outside time the kids spotted something on the sidewalk that they thought might be a "roly poly bug." Svea ate kix cereal and bite of mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch she ate turkey burger, no whole wheat hamburger bun, ate avocado, bites of tomato, and ate cherries. Hey, while I'm thinking about it I want to pass on this information.  Sometime close to the end of June Blogger.com is launching a "new interface" what-cha-ma-call-it!  The information says it will be the default for all users.  So if you see a blip for a day or two, or you don't see the Blog, don't worry, I'll get it worked out!! Svea was thrilled that Callahan is here!  It was so cute and funny to watch her.  At breakfast time I said, "Ok, come get in your highchairs."  Svea and Cal are the highchair kids.  She grabbed his arm and tried leading him out and it was more like dragging!!  "Come on Cal, come on Cal, come on Cal."  During breakfast I asked Svea, "Did you have a good weekend?"  She answered it with a question; "Did you miss me?"  Then sh...

Svea ate half of oatmeal and no apple pieces for breakfast.  For lunch she ate a large serving of hamburger stew with meat, carrots, tomatoes, and green beans.  She also ate most of whole wheat dinner roll and ate apricots. First picture; After checking Svea's hair for ticks (Momma's request) I sprayed a little water on it and brushed it.  As soon as I was done she immediately went to the mirror.  I love having all the mirrors and the kids use all of them!! Next picture: So speaking of mirrors!!  They set up their "horsey rides" so they could watch themselves in the mirror!  I tried for several minutes to get a picture with all 4 of these kids on their horse.  Ha!  About the time two or three would get on their horse then one would get off!! Svea had two servings of French toast and a bite of dried plums for breakfast.  For lunch she ate most of pulled pork, no whole wheat toast, most of peas, and ate a large serving of watermelon.  During lunch Svea started yelling, "I sat up guys, I sat up!!"  Huh?  Again; "I sat up guys, I sat up!!"  I quickly realized she was looking at a picture on the digital frame as it scrolled by and she's heard me say that many times.  It's a picture of Svea on a blanket in the entry room and it was the first time she "sat up" at Gary's Place!!  It's a Super cute picture!! This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon and I'd just blown up this big ball and the kids were loving it.  The ball has a hole in it somewhere so it's probably done for, but it lasted one season!  This is kind of cool picture in "live mode" with Svea running behind the ball and you can see from Avi's hair that she's moving too.
