Svea's Journal

Svea ate French toast and ate dried plums for breakfast.  For lunch she ate most of pulled pork, no whole wheat toast, ate peas, and ate strawberries/mangoes.  Lauralea was being silly at Lunch and pretending to cry; she's actually pretty good at it.  They were all laughing, Avi was laughing REALLY hard, and Svea must have liked it because she asked, "Can you cry again!?!"  Haha.  Also at Lunch Atley told Svea; "I'm sorry I can't go to your Birthday Svea."   Hey Molly, I showed Nora the picture what Avi is getting Svea for her Birthday.  Oh man, Nora was impressed!!  Her face looked like a light bulb and her voice was literally quivering!!  "Oooohhhhh."  Hahaha. Svea ate whole wheat toast and two servings of mangoes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate a large serving of ground beef with marinara sauce on whole wheat spaghetti noodles, two servings of cauliflower, and two servings of fruit salad.   Monday and Tuesday Nora and Svea gave each other a kiss goodbye.  Yesterday Nora said, "Yuck !!  Her slobbers on my lips!!"  So we'll see if Nora remembers that when she's leaving today!!  Haha. These first two pictures are from yesterday afternoon.  We played outside for 45 minutes and that was enough of the cold for one day.  Svea was going down the "ice covered" slide and that made for a quick ride.  :)  Second picture; Avi and Svea were the only ones here when we went back inside and I allowed them to bring a couple of toys from home inside to play with and with the Daycare lights turned off it produced a good show.  Plus, Svea had fun with a flashlight.   Next picture: Svea happened to see...

Svea ate blueberry bagel and two servings of grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate shrimp, half of brown rice, no stir fry vegetables, and ate raspberries.  Svea told me this morning that "babies wear diapers."  I said, "Oh! Well you have a diaper on."  She said, "No I have underpants."  "Ok, that's good, but you need to come here so I can change your underpants before nap time."  Haha.   First picture:  Everyone looks a little solemn here - and Atley seems to be praying!!  Haha.  Second picture; Svea was covering the car ramps with doll blankets and converting them to her home.  She said, "Hey Gary, look at my house!!"  Then she saw Avi and Atley moving in on her arrangement and said, "Hey guys! Svea ate some bran cereal and no raisins for breakfast.  For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat pita bread, cucumbers, avocado, and ate her pears. I read a book to the kids about a Polar Bear and a Goose and they go looking for treasure.  They don't find any, but the bear tells the goose their friendship is the real treasure.  And I tell the kids they are all my treasures and the name of my Program is Little Treasures.  We haven't read that book for a few weeks (because we've been reading lots of Christmas books), but Svea totally remembered it!!  She randomly said, "We're all your treasures."  So precious. Svea ate two servings of whole wheat English muffin and two servings of grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate bites of pork roast, ate whole wheat toast, beets, and ate applesauce.  Yesterday afternoon Svea was looking at the Sunset out the window and she said, "Gary! The sky is beautiful!  It's covered in pink!"  Isn't that cute?  I love how she words her sentences!   First two pictures; One from yesterday and one from today.  Svea has been doing drawing, stickers, and stamps at Art Time and she works so hard. She stays focused and on task for a long time.  I love it when a child is able to do that.   Next picture: Svea was snuggling with me, then being a wiggle-worm, as I was trying to get a selfie picture.  I was holding her hand down so she couldn't stick it in her mouth when I took this picture.  Ha. Svea ate whole wheat Chex cereal and ate peaches for breakfast.  For lunch she ate most of ground beef, no whole wheat sandwich thins, ate avocado, tomatoes, and mandarin oranges.  Here's a couple of Svea's Random Proclamations from this morning;  "Hey Lauralea!! My a winner!" Haha.  That made me laugh! Yup, you're a winner Svea.   Atley and Nora were playing in the Preschool Room.  Svea went to the gate and yelled out at them;  "Hey Guys! Are you talking about me!?!?"  Haha.   REMINDER:  CLOSURE DATES:  Little Treasures will be closed December 24 & 25...  Will be closed New Years Day and will open again on January 11.  We did a toy, book, and puzzle exchange this weekend and it was a busy place around here!!  Everyone already senses something good is gonna happen this week with Christmas!  So the kids have cranked up their excitement level overall by a few notches.  First picture: Svea found the stetho...

Svea ate oatmeal and no dried cranberries for breakfast.  For lunch she ate applesauce.  No tilapia, whole wheat elbow noodles, or green beans.  I'm so glad you turned Svea's car seat around so she can give us reports on riding in the car.  At breakfast she said, "Hey Gary! I was driving at your house SO quickly!!" She has the cutest way of wording her sentences.   Yesterday we had a person stop in that Room & Boarded with us for over 10 years.  (Beginning in 2000.) It was nice to see her for a few minutes and she was very careful about social distancing.  She was saying "hi" to all the kids and Svea randomly yelled to her, "My Mom is my Mother!"  LOL!  That was so flipping random and it cracked me up!!   This first picture is so precious.  Nora said, "Svea, I want to cuddle you."  Svea jumped up and snuggled in so close and was loving it.  It just makes it even cuter because they are wearing matching pajamas.  Th...

Svea ate no whole wheat toast and ate half of grapes for breakfast.  For lunch she ate a large serving of fruit salad and nothing else.  No pork roast, whole wheat tortillas, or carrot/potato vegetable mix.  (She was uncomfortable and needing to poop; which she accomplished.) First picture:  Svea had this dress on first thing this morning.  She had it on almost on all the way, but needed help just getting one arm in.  So 20 minutes later she realized it was on backwards and of course that was MY fault.  LOL!!  "Gary!! Svea ate bite of whole wheat English muffin and ate dried plums for breakfast.  For lunch she ate bites of chicken, bites of brown rice, no stir fry vegetables, and ate mandarin oranges.   Nora was so impressed because Svea got Alexa to play "Ring around the Rosie."  Nora said, "Svea that was impressive!!"  Nora was in the Preschool Room, but obviously had heard it happen.  She went out just to congratulate Svea.  So sweet.   First picture; Left over from yesterday afternoon when Svea and Cal were on my lap and I was trying to do some selfies that contained only the kids.  Haha.  (And my hand.) Svea ate Cheerios and no banana serving for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground beef, no whole wheat pita bread, ate avocado, olives, and her strawberries.   First picture:  "Hey Gary, look what I did."  She'd put all the cake pieces together and had a beautiful cake. Next picture:  Svea continued playing with the food toys and she likes to hoard ALL of them.  She grabbed them from Miles just as he was sticking this last one in his mouth.  She didn't grab the one from his mouth so that was good. But it made me laugh because it looks like he's taunting her.  That's probably NOT the case, because children this age simply don't think like we do.   Next picture:  Svea was saying, "try to get me Cal, try to get me Cal" and he was squealing and running along after her.  When this age group plays "chase" it's more like a game of "follow the leader."  They usually are not trying to "catch" someone, but just having a bla...

Svea ate brown rice and no raisins for breakfast.  For lunch she ate two servings of salmon, ate whole wheat dinner roll, riced cauliflower, and two servings of mangoes.  Yesterday we (Lauralea doing the videoing) videoed the kids doing 3 separate Christmas songs.  This weekend I'm planning on trying (haven't done this before) to Post these on an "Unlisted You Tube" video.  No one can see it except those you give the link to.  Does anyone have any objections to this or know any reason I shouldn't use that format?  No names are given in the video; it's just 3 songs. Svea always wants me to notice and comment on what she's wearing.  Today she said, "Hey Gary, look at my dress."  I said, "Svea I love all your fancy clothes."  She said, "Well my fancy clothes are in the laundry."  Haha.  So cute.  I think it's adorable that she loves "fancy clothes."
