Svea's Journal

Svea ate bites of whole wheat English muffin and no dried plums for breakfast. She said, "I'm just not hungry." No problem. And she got to leave with Grandma for lunch and swimming!! Cheers!! First picture: Svea LOVES to do things like this for the other kids!! As soon as they asked for paper - Miles was asking to "color" when he was still in the breakfast highchair - Svea makes sure I know she will handle it!! AND she always does this sort of thing with some "flair!!" (her own stylishness and originality) Lauralea said Svea would make a good "Vanna White." Haha. I agree. (Check out her left arm and the tilting of her head.)  This next picture is very typical of the art Svea does every day. Svea ate two servings of Cheerios and two bites of her banana serving for breakfast. For lunch she ate half of her ground beef covered with avocado, ate most of her whole wheat pita bread, ate olives, and strawberries. At Lunch - while putting olives on all her fingers - Svea said, "Remember when we used to put olives on our fingers?" Uhhh, yes like two weeks ago - the last time we had olives!!?!! :) Also at Lunch Svea randomly said, "Target Range Tigers!!" Why did you say that? "Because I just really love Atley." So sweet. Svea frequently phrases her sentences in unique ways - all children do, but her's are just so cute!! She said Cal wasn't being nice to Miles and she phrased it like this, "He wasn't being nice to Miles. And we need to be friendship! That's what we do." Love it. Yes that's what we do!! So in this first picture Alexa was playing, "We wish you a Merry Christmas!!" (Cheers! It's never too early!!)...

Svea ate whole wheat English muffin and ate mandarin oranges for breakfast. For lunch she ate ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, no peas/carrots, and ate applesauce.  I have a note left over from yesterday afternoon that made me laugh a LOT!! Svea was building with the big blocks and she said to Cal; "I'm gonna build you a big one Cal!" Cal said, "But I don't want a big one!" Svea said, "Oh stop panicking about it Cal!" LOL!! Cracked me up. Alexa was playing a song and Svea whispered to me; "After this song I'm gonna have Alexa play a favorite song for Atley." When the song was done; "Alexa! Play I Love my Grandma!!" Boy she nailed that one. Atley had Alexa play that a zillion times!!  We are saving the cookie decorating for when I am done with these Blogs. Svea ate her waffle serving and no grapes. For lunch she ate chicken, whole wheat tortilla, ate corn, and none of her apple slices.  These first two pictures are left over from yesterday afternoon. Svea and Cal were stringing beads and then using tape measures to measure the string. Svea said, "I measuring this and it's 7 inches long." Second picture: Svea surprised the heck out of me when she said I could put a ponytail in her hair. And she asked for 2 ponies. As you know that rarely happens, but I still ask occasionally!! This next picture is also left over from yesterday afternoon when Svea and Cal were the only ones here. I asked Svea why she had on the beautiful head-covering. :) She said, "I'm in a wedding." Oh really,,.and who's getting married? Svea said, "Me. I'm marrying Cal and he's marrying me." Ha. Well I'm certainly glad to hear it's reciprocal. Svea ate kix cereal and no fruit cocktail for breakfast. For lunch she ate a large serving of ground turkey covered with a large serving of avocado. She ate toasted whole wheat sandwich thin, no tomatoes, and ate cherries. After breakfast Cal and Svea spent the majority of their time in the Preschool Room and in the first picture Svea was showing Cal how to manipulate the different latches. In the following picture they had moved on to the tape measures. I'd shown Cal the numbers on the tape and I said the table was about 30 inches wide. Cal measured it and said it was 65. Well now that's a bit of a discrepancy. Ha. In the next picture: Svea was drawing with this little board and she said this was her "Sheep." Ok, I can see that. :) In the following picture Svea was back to her gathering all the food and she told Cal she was making a "picnic." Svea ate half of her oatmeal and no apple slices for breakfast. For lunch she ate bites of hamburger stew with meat, carrots, green beans, tomatoes, and potatoes. She ate whole wheat dinner roll, and ate bites of fruit cocktail. When Svea arrives Miles frequently (again this morning) says; "Va Va home; Va Va home." It's so cute and it always makes me laugh. "Yup, she just got home Buddy." Here are a couple pictures of activities that Svea did this morning in the Preschool Room. She was using the dry erase markers drawing lines and tracing in the first picture. In the second picture Svea and Cal were playing the Avalanche Game. The board is on a slant and they try to get as many pieces of fruit on there before it collapses. There are several rules to the game, but at this point we skipped all the rules. Ha. Next picture: Svea worked hard at building this wall and like I've mentioned several times we have a rule "If you build it, then you can destroy it....

Svea ate most of her French toast and no dried plums for breakfast. For lunch she ate most of her pulled pork, bite of whole wheat toast, no peas/carrots, and ate strawberries. I've been expecting this to happen and it came out yesterday; thanks to Miles!! Haha. The boys were arguing over Svea!! Miles said, "My Va Va, my Va Va." And of course Cal started repeating it too!! :) First picture: The boys are patiently waiting for Svea to gather up some food and laying it out for them. ha. Finally Svea said, "Ok Miles!! Svea ate most of her whole wheat toast and most of her mangoes for breakfast. For lunch she ate a large serving of fruit salad. She did not eat: ground beef with marinara sauce on top of whole wheat spaghetti noodles and she did not eat cauliflower. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon when Svea and Cal were holding hands and spinning and dancing around on the mattress. This morning - before Svea arrived - Cal was doing the same thing with Miles. Except this time Cal was the Leader!! Ha. Second picture; Just an FYI; Svea did a lot of this snuggling under her blanket this morning. She seemed a bit tired to me and sure enough right now while I'm doing Blogs she's laying on the couch taking a little nap. I can usually tell because it gets very quiet in the Daycare Room. Ok this is kind of different, but Svea said, "I don't wanna eat at both meals." It was easy to tell by her voice and her posture that she was serious. No blueberry bagel and no grapes for breakfast. At lunch: No shrimp, brown rice, broccoli, or mixed berries.  Miles joined Svea at the window to wave bye to Momma Molly and he kept saying, "My Mom, my Mom, my Mom." He was doing that just to get a reaction from Svea and boy was it ever working!! Haha! The little Turkey. She was about ready to wring his neck. I don't know if she ever did wave at Mommy because she was too busy reacting to Miles. I have lots of pictures today including four from yesterday, but I didn't want to delete any so here they are. Svea was at the alphabet poster and I was listening to what she was saying as she moved from letter to letter. She was talking to herself and counting the "sides" of each letter. Svea ate bran cereal and no raisins for breakfast. For lunch she ate chicken topped with avocado, ate whole wheat pita bread, ate cucumbers, and no pears.  I took these first two pictures before breakfast this morning. Miles asked if he could color and Svea wanted to help and she got him all set up with the paper and markers. (See the two markers in Svea's hand which she chose for herself; he started yelling for those of course!! Mondays will always be Mondays!!) Second picture: Svea likes to peel the background off the stickers first; and then do the stickers next.
