Svea's Journal

Svea ate oatmeal and bites of dried cranberries for breakfast.  She had bites of lunch; Tilapia, whole wheat elbow noodles, green beans, and applesauce. This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon shortly after the kids got up from their nap. Here's a side note; Generally speaking, right after nap time would be the time the kids are most likely to give lots of loves and hugs!!  :)  (That's a general observation from many years of this thing I do!! Ha!)  Atley was slightly surprised and said, "Svea gave me a hug!!"  And 3 or 4 more times!!  :) Next picture: Svea and Avi were playing and Svea was putting her foot on Avi's head and as you can see Avilene thought it was the funniest thing ever!!  "Do it again Svea!!"  Another side note: I usually don't allow "foot to the head" type of play because in this kind of setting it's ALWAYS "monkey see monkey do."  But these two were having so much fun I didn't inte...

Svea ate no whole wheat bagel and ate two servings of peaches for breakfast.  For lunch she ate a large serving of hamburger and sausage pizza, with the meat, peppers, pineapple, olives, and tomato sauce.  No whole wheat pizza crust (we serve it separately), and bites of pineapple on the side. Svea ate a bite of whole wheat toast and bites of grapes for breakfast.  For lunch: no pork roast, no whole wheat tortillas, no hash browns, ate a large serving of sweet potatoes, and a large serving of fruit salad. Svea was on the mattress and noticed Lauralea in the kitchen.  Svea started yelling and repeating the same word/sound and directing it at Lauralea.  As soon as Lauralea turned around to notice her then Svea instantly started jumping and showing-off!  I'm sure Svea was yelling; "Watch, watch, watch!!" Svea ate whole wheat English muffin and a bite of dried plums for breakfast.  For lunch she ate bites of chicken with stir fry vegetables, ate brown rice, and mandarin oranges.  (I finally found some mandarin oranges in 100% juice!) Sometimes I'll ask Svea for a love.  "Can I give you a love?"  She'll almost always come over and let me hug her, but it has to be short and quick.  :)  I was putting Callahan's pajamas on him for his morning nap at 8:30.  Svea got mad because I wouldn't put pajamas on her!  Haha!  She said, "jammies, jammies, jammies!"  And was pointing up at the shelf where I keep them.  I told her, "Yes, I'll put jammies on you at nap time."  She didn't stay mad very long!! Here's a picture left over from yesterday afternoon.  It was a wonderful afternoon and comfortable with long sleeves, but no jacket.  The "big" girls are in the background searching for bugs and Svea was playing on the slide. ...

Svea ate cheerios and a couple bites of banana for breakfast.  For lunch she ate ground beef, no whole wheat pita bread, bite of tomatoes, ate avocado (mixed with the ground beef), and ate watermelon. We (primarily Sylvie - Ha!) did a toy, book, puzzle exchange this weekend and the kids were super busy like always on toy exchange Monday.  Svea headed right for the book rack and the cozy corner and I had to coax her away from here to wave bye to Momma at the window!  The girl loves her books and I always love to see kids so interested in books.  That's a top priority around here!!  Svea went to the cozy corner to read several different times this morning and I obviously took this picture when Avi was there as well. Svea ate half of whole wheat English muffin and bites of oranges for breakfast.  For lunch she ate half of ground beef, no whole wheat elbow noodles, half of peas and half of applesauce. The first picture is from yesterday afternoon right after Svea got up from her nap.  Obviously she's still in her jammies.  She was sitting there reading and totally absorbed in the book and Callahan came over, turned around and sat down - almost on top of her!  She didn't even flinch and never did act like she even noticed her was there!!  Haha!  Second picture: Also from yesterday afternoon when we went outside.  The kids asked to play at the sand tables and Svea was very engaged with the sand play for probably 15 minutes at least. Svea ate French toast and strawberries for breakfast.  For lunch she ate bites of everything; Hearty Paleo Stew with meat, broccoli, cauliflower, green beans, carrots, and tomatoes.  Also bites of crackers and tropical fruit salad. These first two pictures are left over from yesterday afternoon when we were outside.  Svea was so proud of herself for pushing the stroller up and down the sidewalk.  (I'd help her get it turned around.) She grinned the entire time.  The second picture made me laugh.  She was giving Callahan the closeup inspection!! Next picture; This morning Svea was playing with Callahan after his morning nap.  He was reaching for her and she would quickly step back so he couldn't touch her.  And of course that was making her laugh!!
